We have just returned from a wonderful stay at this magnificent hotel, on arrival we were quickly checked in,and received a drink, because we had been delayed with our flight we were too late for dinner, we were asked If we wanted to have something to eat,and we were no sooner shown to our room, when room service arrived with lovely sandwiches, chips and salad, plus pot of tea for two, really nice touch. The room was nicely decorated, with wonderful views over the sea, and pool area. The bathroom was well fitted out, with large corner bath fitted with whirlpool jets, and the large open shower had great pressure, with nice hot water, a good range of toiletries were supplied in the bathroom, the room did not have any tea or coffee making facilities. Room was spotless with safe payable daily at 2euro per day. Next morning we went for breakfast, what a selection,of hams and cheeses, different cereals, and variety off yogurts ,eggs etc,the omelette was beautiful, fresh bread which you cut your self, next to toaster, plenty of tea and coffee, variety of Turkish food. Fresh orange juice had to be paid for, there was other orange and lemon juice available at no charge, but it tasted like diluted lemon or orange juice. There was certainly enough to set anyone out for the day, do not expect your typical bacon or sausage that you get in the U.K. or Ireland
The hotel lobby and bar area was lovely with the fresh smell of polish. As it was moving into there winter months, the hotel was pretty empty,so we had the whole area were the sun beds were more or less to our selfs, the weather was great with temps in around 22 to 24 degrees. So we opted to laze around and make the most of the fine weather,as we were in Turkey two years earlier at the same time in November, and it never stopped raining and was really cold. The pool menu had some great deals when you felt a bit peckish in the afternoon. They were doing lots of combination deals ,which was great value. I would recommend the Charisma sandwich.
Later that evening we went for dinner, and what a selection of food from the salad bar,to the home made soup, to the main courses, excellent. Biggest problem here was to select what you wanted, there was so much variety. The bottles of water had to be paid for costing 5tyl for a large bottle. After our salads, soup and main it was time for our downfall, the desserts ,again what a selection, hence the extra pounds we gained over our stay, the overall opinion off dinner was excellent. I had only one slight disappointment,on one or two evenings the food was not all that hot. But this does not take away from the great taste in the restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for couples or groups. I don't think there is enough here for families with smaller children, this is not the place in winter months if you are looking to stay somewhere young and lively,no music in the hotel in the winter season. To sum it up it is a hotel to sit back relax and chill out. We had asked about bringing our gran kids over in May, and were told they have a kids club. I don't have any more info on this, you will need to check with the hotel,or a good travel agent on this. The staff were excellent in every area, and to say one was better than the other would not be fair, they were all very friendly and liked to have a conversation .we will hopefully return next year, without hesitation we will stay in this same hotel. Jim (Ireland)

This was one really beautiful and relaxing hotel!!!! The rooms are large and the view from the balcony absolutely breathtaking! The hotel is very clean and inviting to the guests. I have stayed in many waterfront hotels in my travels, but this hotel stood out as one of the best. Totally relaxing whether it is from your balcony, the poolside or the dining area. The hotel sits right on the Adriatic Sea. There is no sandy beach to lay on but you can access the sea from the pool side. It was fun floating on the salt-fulled sea. You will pop up like cork on water! There is inside and outside dining. Inside and outside bars. Free internet services is available throughout the hotel. But what I enjoyed the most was the spa. The spa is situated in a location that you can view the sea while you have your massage. How nice is that? A Turkish bath, full body message and facial for $80 USD. Oh, how I wish I could have that experience again...again....and again! The buffet was especially nice with a large variety of dishes and desserts. The waiter service was really good and everyone in the hotel was helpful all the time. This hotel was very welcoming. Although it is a very large hotel, you are made to feel like a really special and valued a guest. This is a hotel that I would visit again and again.

The hotel was wonderful - rooms spacious and clean and beautiful views of the sea. Situated right on the water with terrific pool and ocean swimming facilities - lots of sun beds and umbrellas, outdoor dining and bars and easy access to the Adriatic Sea for a swim if you wanted.

Internet access was woeful - definitely not up to standard. This is such a must in any hotel now.

Buffet dinner was Ok - hint, on the outside deck they also have a BBQ which is part of the buffet and has some nice choices. The desert bar though was magnificent - I've never seen such a big choice. Breakfast buffet was also OK.

The hotel is a short walk to shops and restaurants, but food and drink need to be hidden in your bag on return to the hotel or it is confiscated and returned to you when you book out.

We were fortunate to have an unexpected fireworks display on the night we stayed as there was a wedding on one of the hotel terraces - a nice touch.

Finally we had a wonderful traditional Turkish steam bath and massage at the hotel. Staff were lovely and considerate, but the price is advertised in Euro not local currency - which is deceiving so beware. But despite that it was a terrific experience.

This whole hotel has been fabulously designed to wrap around and take in the magnificent views around the bay. Stunning views greet you through floor to ceiling windows as soon as you walk into the bright, modern foyer.
There is no beach here but there is a very large, smart decking area that overhangs the sea with aluminium steps leading down into the sea so you can choose between swimming pool and sea.
Unfortunately being on a tour of Turkey meant we arrived in the afternoon and had to leave the hotel at 6.45 in order to get to Ephesus before the cruise ships!
The thing which spoils the hotel is the unattractive buildings opposite the hotel and loads of cats wandering around trying to get inside the hotel.
I loved our room so much, we had a sweeping floor to ceiling view of the sea and all around the bay plus a window with balcony. You could hear the waves gently lapping against the rocks all night. Bliss!
It's a pity the carpet was dirty and the bed really let down the whole room. 2 shabby divans pushed together with a poorly fitting valance and grotty looking bed cover. The duvet was the thin, cheap type. Totally at odds with the rest of the room.
There is a lovely jacuzzi bath.
The food doesn't quite match the look of the hotel, not as good as the previous hotels, I actually skipped the hot food as it didn't look too tempting. But I was very impressed with the desserts, there were so many things to choose and very high quality.
Breakfast was ok, not the sumptuous feasts our other hotels provided.

The hotel is well situated within easy walking distance of various restaurants and bars, good quality shopping outlets and its position provides beautiful views over the town of Kusadasi itself and over the Agean Sea towards the Greek island of Samos. The rooms are large and generally well fitted-out, with flat screen TVs, good bath/shower rooms, the usual selection of toiletries and large fluffy towels, as well as a small balcony with a table and two chairs.

There is a large and impressive infinity swimming pool, together with a relaxing area with a plentful supply of sunbeds, a small crazy golf facility and a bar/restaurant.

In its present configuration it could never be considered as a 5 star hotel. However, with just a little senior management thought and consideration, it could be so much better and provide significantly improved customer service. The main areas of concern to many guests that I spoke to and which were supported by many comments in the hotel's comments book, are:

1. No tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms,
2. no complimentary water, despite the fact that the hotel water is considered non-potable,
3. very high prices for drinks at the bar and other outlets, If these prices were lower, more guests would be happy to use the bars, etc. During our stay the bars were generally empty.
4. almost draconian regulations published in the lobby, regarding guests bringing water and other drinks into the hotel - see para 3 above.

Despite these observations, we enjoyed our stay at the Charisma. Breakfasts were of a good quality with plenty of options (we were on a B&B basis) and the majority of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially when greeted with a cheerful "good morning" by hotels guests.

This hotel has lots of potential if the owners and managers just had the sense to see it and take-in the guests' comments.

Room Tip: Must overlook the sea.

The hotel rooms and bars are 5-star and certainly our room was super. There was an excellent bathroom including a jacuzzi, but the extractor fan didn't work, so it got very steamed up. The view from our 6th floor veranda was magnificent. However the hotel caters for coach parties and this may be the reason why there appeared to be only buffet style dining. We found the staff in the restaurant to be impersonal if not unfriendly, which was unlike the other hotels we visited in Turkey.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the independent fish restaurant can be noisy as a colleague found, when the "...

we stayed there 2 nights and it is a nice place to stay because of the view. the room was ok (not 5 star stuff) but for the time we spent in there we didnt care as it was great to have a balcony with a ocean view. wifi dropped in and out all the time. never had to pay for a in house safe before and i think for a 5 star hotel that is going too far. the towel card i can understand as alot of people may take them and it was easy to get one and take them back, so we didnt have a problem with that. the buffet looked impressive and it was good but not great. there was a bbq outside offering different hot foods which we liked as it was good to get something hot as we found in most places the food is never hot just luke warm. drink prices were dear but not over the top.the wait staff made sure you knew that they wanted you to leave. pool was freezing and i think they should heat it so it can be used more as there was not one person in the pool when we were there but more in the ocean. the hotel is ok but its all about that view and to just walk a few steps into the aegean sea was wonderful.

Room Tip: you have to get a room with a balcony - maybe closer to reception as the wifi may be better
