Sealight Resort Hotel
Ranked #15 of 156 Hotels in Kusadasi
Reviewed 20 August 2011

My boyfriend and I arrived at around 11 o'clock at the hotel. We entered the hotel which is very impressive at first, the open hall is imposing, the fish tanks with the very interesting and lively fish, the lighting, everything contributes to a 5 star feeling.
We were politely greeted at the reception by a staff member who verified our reservation, had us fill out a form and was very happy to offer us a room with a sea side view when we requested so.
A bellboy helped us out with the luggage to our room. I must say I was very impressed by the room, the cleanliness, the nice design and of course the VIEW which was a dream. The minibar was filled daily with Pepsi, Sprite and two waters, all free of charge. We quickly changed and went out to better understand how things worked at the Sealight Resort. We stopped by the reception once again because we were not given the ultra all inclusive concept. Let me take you through a more structured review:
1.Surroundings
- beautiful and breathtaking;
- have a dinner on the terrace of the main restaurant, watching the sea and the sunset and you will feel that you are dreaming;
- the hotel is set on a hill; as you go down the stairs to the beach you will discover that there are levels used to their maximum potential; from the hotel and the main pool, you will go down to the Mini AquaPark (only 3 water slides but very fun, it is open from 10-12 and 14-16) and the 3 a la carte restaurants. On a lower level you will find the Beach bar and so on;
2. Food and beverages
- the main restaurant served decent food, but not a great variety; and of course it was repetitive;
the other bars, by the pool or close to the beach served fast food type meals (hamburgers, pizzas, spaghetti, even salads) - these were quite OK and the service was very quick;
- if you feel like desert you have plenty of it from 12 - 19 you can go inside the hotel to the cookie shop and choose whatever you like; the ice cream was not too good but the cakes are delicious;
- the beverages are OK (Coca Cola, Sprite tasted very good); although they proudly state that they serve imported alcohol brands don't expect Jack Daniels or Smirnoff Vodka, Garrone is the best choice you will find:) Try the light house bar it has a splendid view;
3. Shows and animation team
Zero. The poorest animation team I have ever seen. Practically they did not know how to get people involved in their activities. Very bad English knowledge. Didn't talk to hotel guests. Sorry guys but this is the truth. The 12 o clock games were fun if enough people voluntarily came to play. Darts was also nice, but I was shocked to see that the animation team member had me do the scores because he said his math was poor(besides his English). Other fun activities are soccer, volleyball, tennis and basketball which can be played on the large field they have with a splendid view of the sea; The night shows - average. The Circus show was OK - with acrobats doing interesting numbers. The sketch show was old. I saw those sketches at another hotel 8 years ago. The live music at the Pool Bar average also: not the best band not the best sound; The disco at the Pool Bar is all right;
3. The sea
Almost no beach; very narrow space; the water in the Aegean Sea is salty but very clean; during my stay there were a few tides; The hotel solved the problem with the small beach by placing sun beds on the grass on a higher level with sea view; trust me you will not miss the sand since this is a very nice substitute.
4. The pools
- one main pool with normal water - very large goes from 1.40 m to 0.3 m
- one smaller pool with sea water - I am not convinced that it is sea water, since I saw an employee pouring something in the water at night which looked like salt - so it might be just salt water:)
- I appreciated the hotel policy regarding sun bed reservations before 8 o clock in the morning; they clearly informed all guests that all towels placed on the sun beds before 8 o clock would be removed;
5. Hotel guests were mixed nationalities none that stood out too much and annoyed the others; this feature I always find asna big plus for the respective hotel

P.S: Don't forget to be in shape before coming to this hotel because you have a lot of stairs before getting to the beach and back to the hotel again; that is if you don't want to use the shuttle bus the hotel offers you;

This is my experience at the hotel; Sea Light Resort needs to improve the services (food, entertainment, good English knowledge for the staff), but the location saves this place; plan a short stay here and you will not regret it!

Please feel free to contact me if you need any other info!

Until next time!

We are counting the days until we return in september.This will be our third
holiday at the Sealight since May 2010.We used to holiday in Cuba but the
longhaul flights are too much.I done lots of research and read lots of reviews before booking The Sealight and we loved it.Our first holiday was for 2weeks,5 adults and it was great.The hotel is lovely,spotless.The food is lovely.The choice is great.We love breakfast where a chef cooks you fresh omeletts or fried eggs but there is a huge choice of food at all meal times.Our second holiday this May just gone was just the two of us for one week.I was anxious about holidaying for 1 week but we chilled the whole week,it was great,came back well rested.9 of us are going back in September for my husbands 50th.Our children and and there partners are coming.There loving the thought of the 24hr allinclusive and cake bar.The alacartes are lovely as it does get busy in the buffet in the evening.We can honestly say that the staff are very helpful and polite.We like going to market on Wednesdays or Ladies Beach.The jeep safari trip is great if you dont mind heights and Adaland is a great day out too.If youve booked this hotel i hope you enjoy it as much as us.

Just got back from the Sealight- 2 adults and 4 teenagers- this is a fantastic hotel in a beautiful setting. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The hotel has lots to offer all ages. The restaurant offers a good selection of food and the Chinese and Italian are fanatstic so make sure you book them. We all loved the pattiserie- lovely cakes and ice cream. The Lighthouse Bar was great for a G and T in the evening and the poolbar had live music every evening- also piano music in lobby bar was lovely between 6-8pm. There was no need to get up early to get sunbeds if you are happy to go down to the beach terraces- always lots of free beds and personally we thought they were the best spot in the hotel-always a lovely breeze. The beach is small and pretty and very clean- it has a blue flag. The staff are wonderful and we will miss them-esecially Mursel- they love the British and are the best we have met in an AI hotel. The highlight for us was a trip to Adaland where we swam with dolphins- if you are a Carpe Diem type of person it is well worth the money- the Sealife park is fantastic and you get to snorkel with rays, tropical fish and sharks!!!!
Only small negative are the Russian and Chinese guests who think they own the place- just smile and don't let them push in!!!!! We just felt sorry for them. Lots of Dutch; Germans and Belgiums who are lovely.
Would go back tomorrow.

We stayed here twice, spring and fall. The two reasons are that the area of Kusadasi is much more beautiful than the Antalya, Kiris, Kemer and Belek area and that this hotel is not so massive but does have all amenities the 5* Turkish resorts typically have. Of course the smell of food is around all day long and there are tourists who do want to eat and drink all day because that is what they paid for, but at Sealight it is not that bad. We have stayed in many hotels in Turkey: Cornelia, Rixos, Gloria, Syllium, Kiris World and some more. If we are going again (which I doubt becaue I am fed up with the Turkish all-inclusive lunacy) then we would go to Sealight. The mattrasses are very very hard in spacious connecting rooms.

Room Tip: Very hard mattrasses!!!!!

Beautiful Hotel, great food- lots of choice for everyone. Had a little hut area where a lady made pancakes every day. There's an ice cream and cake shop which is open from about midday til about 7 serving really nice if you fancy something sweet. They also have a shop inside the hotel selling papers and magazines- which are very expensive!
The hotel need to work on the entertainment at night time- this would be the only down fall, as well as the area of Kusadasi itself. Much prefer Dalaman and Fethiye where we have visited previously.
Rooms are lovely, nice view of the pool.
Would definitely return here for a relaxing week away!

we stayed or are still staying in the sealight as i am writing this review whisle sat on my balcony the hotel in general is nice clean great pool decent sun beds but be up before 8am to get one on arrival we checked in very quickly luggage delivered to our rooms etc we review evert hotel on trip advisor and were quite shocked as we were the only english family in the hotel some five days later a few more english arrived and fortunately for us having a 11 yr old she found a friend mainly dutch belgium russian turks the reason for my review is the buffet restaurant is awful but on the flip side they have four alacarte restaurants the chinese and the turkish being the best the seafood pretty good the italian abit of a let down but ok the problem here is if you come for a week your ok as you can only go to the alacarte restaurants once if your here for two weeks the same rule applies where they work that policy from god only knows so you are stuck in the buffet for the other 10 nights they dont even have any carved meats which is a first ive seen in a 5 star hotel so we ate out most evenings we have been able to re book the chinese for our last night but we must pay for the meal !!!! the annimation team another big plus from reviews well guess what its a different team this year as the hotel refused to pay them what they wanted and installed a bunch of students with a fat controller and a dwarf as the main entertainer who were absolutely useless you could quite honestly think there was no annimation team so if you have booked your summer holiday at the sealight for this year try and change it go to lickie a world oludeniz or hillside beech club fetihye
