“Great three star hotel”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

Beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked, huge turkish breakfast, room was clean, they parked the car - what more do we need. Not sure of the staffs command of English but they were very nice. Hotel has a great location - you could easily walk from the ferry. Also easy to find plenty of places to eat. I didn't get the name but for inexpensive food which you can point to , turn left out of the hotel and about a block down on the other side of the street there was a super place. We also ate in a more expensive restaurant on the water recommended by the hotel and the food was excellent

Room Tip: We had a front room not too noisy (after ten days in Istanbul, anyway)

We could not have been happier wıth our stay at Anzac Hotel. The rooms were lovely and clean, the bathroom ımmaculate wıth the hottest showers and best water pressure we have had ın all of Europe. The breakfast was amazıng wıth somethıng for everyone, hot and cold optıons and home made cakes. Now onto the staff who could not have been more helpful, they brought us a drınk on arrıval, brought our bags to our room, booked our tour for Gallıpolı for us and then booked our bus on to Istanbul. We needed to do a lot of bookıng for the next part of our trıp and they gave us access to a computer helped us wıth the Turkısh websıtes, made phone calls and let us prınt. Frıendly and helpful the whole tıme. They also gave us a map and showed us the way to get to all tourıst sıtes. We wıll tell our frıends and we wıll be back. Thıs hotel needs 5 stars

I really don't see how this place is rated that highly. It is slightly above average in a few areas, but overall it is quite blindingly average, even for a basic hotel. The best I can say is that I didn't spend too much money... but I would have been willing to spend a bit more for better sleep.

The location is good, as its close to the ferry port to Gallipoli/Eceabat, and the (movie) Trojan Horse, as well as a lot of restaurants. But this is nothing unique to this hotel, as most of the hotels are clustered together in this area. From the bus station, you'll need to cab it or possibly take a servis (does one exist??).

Check-in was easy enough, and service was initially good. The building is a bit dated. The room had basic furnishings, and the bed was OK. There was an in-room safe, a TV with a couple of English language channels, and a small refrigerator. The AC worked well, and the free Wifi was mediocre at times; sometimes the signal was quite weak. Some fruit was in the room, which was nice. Overall, not a terribly comfortable arrangement, but sort of acceptable.

A real annoyance is the small bathroom. There's not much sink space, and the bathtub is very awkwardly designed and challenging to enter, as the way the door is setup only allows entrance from the back. If you have any sort of mobility issues at all, stay way.

There is an elevator, but its pretty small. Not too much larger than the tiny ones in some Paris hotels! And it is quite loud - even with the door shut, from my room I could always hear when it was operating.

Now to the worst part of the stay. Every night there seemed to be a concert of some sort going on in the buildlings next door. It was quite loud and annoying until maybe 2am. Very aggravating.

For the rest of my stay, service vacillated between attentive at times and quite careless/carefree at others. Occasionally a bit frustrating. I once went to the bar area in the middle of the evening to try to get a drink, and there was not a soul in sight.

The free Turkish breakfast is quite good though, and there is a lot of variety of both food and drink. The eating area is a good place to hang out for a bit in the daytime.

No issues on checking-out.

This place seemed to actually try at times, but was quite inattentive at other times. I wouldn't go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the late night "concerts" held next door.

We stayed for one night after our Gallipoli tour. Great clean and cheap accommodation perfect for what we were after. Highly recommend it! Good service when we had to wait for our overnight bus, didn't mind us hanging in he lobby all day. Only downfall was the complimentary water wasn't sealed, suggesting it's refilled.

Have just spent 3 nıghts at the Anzac hotel. Hotel ıs sıtuated steps away from the ferry, port, replıca horse of Troy, shops and a 5 mınute walk to naval museum.

I was allocated a quıet room wıth frıdge, kettle, aır condıtıonıngş safe and sattellıte TV There ıs also a coffee machıne ın the foyer that guests can help themselves to 24/7. Hotel also provıdes a computer that guests can use to access ınternet.

Breakfast ıs by far the best I've had ın Turkey such a huge choıce.

Staff are frıendly and eager to assıst guests as requested. Hotel ıs reasonably prıced and I wouldnt hesıtate to stay there agaın.

I was there in beginning June for around 5 days. It was our first stop for our Turkey trip and we were afraid that nobody speak English there. But our fear were unfounded when the staff there speak really good English and explained to us about everything that we need to know. Not to mention, it is very conveniently located. The moment we alight from the Ferry, you just need to walk out into the streets, you will be able to see the huge logo of the hotel. We were so silly and we asked around to locate it.

Food was easily accessible. Just next door, you will see Git-Git Chicken, which looks a bit like a fast food chain except they sell kebab. When the hotel staff explained to us some day tour to Troy and Gallipoli, they really gave the no obligation attitude which we really like about it. It was not pushy at all. They were very upfront about the price which were our main concern. The staff were very patient as we were not used to their accent, thus asking a lot of repeated questions just to be sure about it. Though not very big, we had sufficient space in the room.

I would definitely stay at the same hotel again if I have the opportunity to visit it again.
