This large hotel caters for groups visiting the region. It is very busy and impersonal as a result.. It is not in the best location being quite a way out of Avonos but if using your own or group's transport it is OK. The main issue with this hotel is the safety of food. I saw new food being brought out and mixed with old food - a dangerous practice. There was no way for people to hold bread to be cut exept with the hands (evening meal). The roast potatoes served for breakfast seemed to be the same ones served the night before. Food temperatures were tepid and thus sure to be below food safety standards All in all very dodgy food hygiene practices

Room Tip: I would not stay here again

Our travel agent booked us into this hotel after their first choice was not available. Sunhan hotel is a good 20 minutes walk from the centre of town. Our preference is to stay where the action is! So the location was very disappointing. The room was very average. No tea/coffee making facilities, no complimentary water and no mini bar. The internet is so slow you just give up. The breakfast room is massive and caters for large tourist groups. I was surprised that something like cornflakes or Special K cereal was not available just chocolate flakes, honey puffs and oats. The toaster was broken. I felt the cleanliness of the buffet was in question. Not all the reception staff speak good english and not typically friendly. The hotel has a steam room, sauna, indoor/ outdoor swimming pool, turkish bath all at an extra cost. In other Turkey hotel we have stayed in the steam room, sauna and turkish bath have been complimentary.

Room Tip: Don't stay in this hotel. Stay in the gorgeous village Goreme or Avanos village. If you enjoy a beer or wine with a meal and look at tripadvisor for tips be aware that not all cafes/restaurants offer alcohol. We went to a tripadvisor recommended restaurant that didn't offer alcohol. We were glad we were not hunger and walked around Avanos for about 15 minutes until we found a suitable place to eat.

Wouldn't strongly recommend this place for several reasons.
Not in the main town area of Avanos, it is on the other side of the river and a 20 mins walk to the main area
Wifi reception very poor in the rooms
Average rooms with no mini bar
Our room was noisy as presumably the hot air ballon guests left in the early hours
Breakfast was in a massive restaurant and the hotel seemed to be filled by the coach load.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for room that overlooks garden if they exist

Stayed 2 nights in this hotel, really impressed with the lights in front of the hotel at night. Beautiful.., this is a new hotel and very clean. But too crowded with the group tours. Maybe for breakfast, can consider to provide other countries meal also, not only Turkish, so the guests have options, every morning almost the same.., kind of boring.
One of the waiter in the restaurant when I had dinner was not polite, I came a little late, almost 9pm, asking for a water, and took some minutes for him to bring it to me with unpleasant look. Thank you for that I lose my appetite.
The owner of an accesories shop at the lobby was very nice, he gave me a present and gave some advise. Thanks for the bracelet.
If I back again to Cappadocia area, I prefer to stay at cave hotel.
But, over all.., this hotel is not bad.

This is a very large hotel, over 400rooms.It caters for tour groups and that is how I came to be staying for two nights.
Rooms were clean.Powerful shower. We had plenty of hot water.
We stayed on a half board basis and thought the buffet was just fantastic.Something for everyone and plenty of it.As we've found before there was a limited choice of meats but this seemed to be a general thing.
Some waiters more surly than others but again we've got used to that in Turkey.
