Kadir was fantastic. He took on a 10 year lease six months ago and is putting in allot of energy. I really hope that he can keep up the momentum and sustain the level of energy he is providing to his guests. His family made our visit to Cappadocia feel welcome and easy. The location is close to the center of town and reasonably quiet at night. The rooms are well kept and very clean. I would return if headed back to the region.

Room Tip: Rooms are great but the beds are typical turkish rocks so be sure to come prepared for the firmness...

I stayed at Elif for four nights with a friend. We were upgraded to a larger room that was open free of charge. Kadir and his family were wonderful hosts - made helpful suggestions about hikes, places to eat, further travel in Turkey, and booked an amazing hot air balloon ride for us. Breakfast each morning was wonderful and we had dinner one night prepared by Kadir's wife which was some of the best food we had while in Turkey. Our cave room was a once in a lifetime experience, and extremely well kept!

Kadir was a great help during our stay. We arrived late and were pretty keen for an early balloon. Somehow, he arranged this with ease and helped wake us (does he sleep?). He also gave us a good route to drive and an early breakfast when leaving. The place has an amazing view and is handy to town too.

Everything about this place is perfect. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They took care of all the necessary bookings - activities, tickets, food etc This place is located in an ideal location overlooking some of the stunning scenery. With right weather condition, one can witness the balloons popping up during sunrise. Within a 5 min walk. one can find picturesque ruins and a 6th century church. The hosts are very passionate and well informed about the history, art, culture and architecture of Capadokya. We will definitely recommend this place for an ideal location! Perfect hotel run by amazing hosts!

Room Tip: Hot air balloons and day trips are a must.

5 of us recently stayed at the Elif Star for 3 nights and were really really impressed by the level of service and atmosphere at the hotel and it's great location. It couldn't have been better!

Kadir (the manager) and his family were amazing hosts. He helped us get up in the balloons, made some great recommendations for the 5 of us to visit in Cappadocia by car and overall were amazing hosts to deal with.

We would all absolutely recommend staying here when visiting Cappadocia, if you want to relax and have a stress free stay with amazing hosts in a unique setting then this IS the place!

A friend and I traveled throughout Turkey and stayed in Capadokya for four nights at Elif Star. The weather wasn't great but Kadir was amazing in helping us figure out which hikes we should do, places to visit and helped multiple times to book us on a hot air balloon. He answers any questions and goes out of his way to book things. Accommodation is clean, spacious and lovely and his wife is the best cook in town. Would return without a doubt.

Upon arriving at Elif Star Caves, we were amazed with the level of service and generosity. The owner and his family are so hospitable; a group of us seven girls arrived past dinnertime, but he insisted on driving around town to find us pide for dinner. After that he showed us to our rooms, and he upgraded one of our rooms to a complimentary family size room as he didn't have enough beds in the hostel room for us. We were so last minute in planning the Cappadocia portion of our Turkey adventure, but he was so knowledgeable and helpful. He booked our hot air balloon ride for the following morning as well as booking us a driver to take us to all the sights in the area (which actually turned out to be his father, as he couldn't find a driver so last minute!) Homemade complementary breakfast was delicious and filling after our hot air balloon ride, and he also booked our bus ride out of Cappadocia to Pamukkale. It was a stress-free and unbelievably enjoyable stay at Elif Star Caves and equally amazing adventures in the area, set up by the owner of the hotel himself. The owner of Elif Star Caves is one of the most generous people in Turkey, and everyone in Turkey is amazing so that is saying something! He absolutely made our Cappadocia trip; highly, highly recommended!
