Really interesting place to stay in, given its got an inner cave setting :) But really helpful staff - they can give you an entire download on things to do around Cappudocia and can also get the hot air balloon rides arranged at short notice

Would definitely stay here again. Good value for money as rooms were clean and reasonably appointed. Got to stay in a cave, which was quite fun, but would probably stay in a normal room next time, as the ventilation is better in the summer time.

The hotel has a great pool area with a bar, perfect for hanging out after long days of walking in the most spectacular scenery immediately surrounding the hotel.

The hotel is a short 5-10 walk down hill to the main shopping area of town, making it quiet at night, but close enough to the action. We had to eat in the hotel a couple of nights, and the meals were great in the on-site restaurant - very cosy atmosphere in a big rain storm!!

Room Tip: Non-cave rooms have better views and ventilation.

It's not very often you get to stay in a hotel that's in a cave. That was a ton of fun. Rooms were clean and safe. Restaurant was decent for dinner. Only item worth noting - the bed didn't have a bed sheet, just a comforter. (Seems to be a trend with Turkey hotels.) If I were ever in Cappadocia, I would stay there again!

Stayed here for a week in last week of May on a walking holiday. Excellent room with lovely balcony and fantastic views. Good location. Great buffet breakfasts. Pool area very good. Mehmet and Enmet both very helpful in terms of advice on walking routes and in facilitating a one night switch to a cave room so I could say I'd done it! Would definitely go back and fully recommend to other visitors.

We stayed here for 2 nights on 7th and 8th May for our anniversary having travelled on the overnight bus from Ortaca. The journey was hellish and one I won't be repeating (as we now feel we have done Cappadocia and have no need to return) but when you see the beauty and uniqueness of the area you soon forget what you went through to get there. We arrived very early in the morning and couldn't get our room but the hotel staff were great in letting us use the lounge area to hang around and let us have the room early around 1030 so much better than expected. We stayed in room 10 which was bigger than expected and on 3 levels with a balcony overlooking the pool. It was really lovely and the round bed on the wooden platform was a really nice surprise. Mehmet was really very helpful and knowledgeable and we felt that nothing was too much trouble. He booked us the whirling dervish show which was very surreal and worth doing, we also did a green tour which was a fantastic way to see the sights and we also the Turkish bath which was very enjoyable. I loved the location of the hotel in goreme and was glad it was not up one of the very steep hills in the town as it made it easy just to pop back to the hotel when you wanted. Everything was well kept and spotlessly clean and the views were amazing. Would recommend this hotel for a fantastic stay in goreme.

We stayed in room #9 a family cave room for three nights. It had no windows and the bathroom with shower and jacuzzi bath, toilet had a bad sewer smell so we left the front door open whenever we could for ventilation. We kept the bathroom door closed and the fan running at night but we could not escape the smell. The shower had good water pressure and heated quickly. The cave room next door has a proper window. The cave rooms are just three steps down from the courtyard so ground level. The room had a queen sized bed, two single beds, one closet, two lamps, no tv, and no Wifi. Wifi can be accessed in the courtyard, restaurants and the lobby. The boys had to watch a soccer match in the cold courtyard several nights but our room was warm. Our friends in a family room on an upper floor had no lights and complained about the cold. Other friends complained about dampness in their non-cave rooms also upstairs.
While we heard dogs in the distance, it was quiet at night. At 6AM go outside to the terrace above the public bathrooms and look at the balloons lifting up. You'll even hear the ones that get close from your bed, when the pilot releases gas to lift the balloons, making a wooshing sound. It was really magical.
RESTAURANT At breakfast the yoghurt and honey was delicious. Cereal, rolls, dried fruits, jams etc. You can order omelets, French Toast. Instant coffee, black tea, but no juice. You must ask the kitchen staff for water. In the evening we saw the Cappadocian specialty, meat cooking in clay pots in the BBQ but we ate out each night. The teens ate at the restaurant one night while the parents went out. There are small and large tables inside, and outside overlooking the large pool. Everyone working there was very kind, and genuinely helpful. There is a pool table and a small library so the teens enjoyed hanging out after the tours. There is one big TV but final soccer matches were not shown. The chef shared cake he'd baked one afternoon. There is a bar and prices for water, 1TL for small and 2TL for a large bottle, was very reasonable. Soft drinks, chips and beer on sale too. No champagne.
The younger Mehmet at the front desk and even the Chef drove us to nearby restaurants at night which we appreciated greatly. Everyone speaks English there. Sweet Elmas at reception and the chef again, called restaurants and made reservations for us. Elmas was able to arrange a birthday cake for our friend at one of the restaurants. We wished the hotel sold postcards so we could've had a birthday card to sign. When we dined in Uchisar, Mehmet arranged a van for us at around 100TL to drive us there and back. Kelebek Hotel's Seten restaurant picked us up and gave us a 10% hotel discount twice.
We saw one person swimming in the pool in early May, it looked very clean. The location is just outside town, and fortunately not uphill. It's about a 20 min. walk to the Goreme open-air museum. I was at first worried when our group's leader told us we'd be staying in the Flinstones Hotel because of the name and they've renamed it Holiday Cave Hotel. If our room didn't have the sewer smell, and had a window, we would've been happy there. The manager Sr. Mehmet was very good at returning e-mails. I recommend you book directly with the hotel as he prefers it and the prices are the same. There are discounts for booking multiple tours.
AIRPORT-HOTEL TRANSFER You end up waiting for others on your flight with checked-in luggage so there's no need to hurry if you only have carry-on luggage. A man with a sign with many names will be standing just outside Kayseri airport. Flinstones is the first drop off after leaving the airport, and the last pick up on the way to the airport so less time on the bus, compared to those staying at other hotels.
THE BALLOON RIDE Mehmet Sr. organized our balloon trips with affiliated Ugurp Balloons, which doesn't offer the deluxe 90 min. ride we had hoped for. Our friends had a very disappointing, 350m low altitude balloon ride over fields and saw valleys from afar the morning before, but we flew 600m and further. Research TA balloon reviews, choose your company and book ahead so you get the ride you want. If it's windy they don't go up so book for two days when possible.
DRIVER #1- We hired a driver via Mehmet Sr. for 220TL but at the first stop, he didn't tell us where to go so we missed the church. When we returned, the van's door was unlocked but no driver. 15 min later we called the hotel for help; he was sleeping at a cafe. 2nd spot was without incident. 3rd stop, 1:15pm the driver said he had to go pray for 45 minutes which we respected. However, Devrent Valley has no bathrooms, no cafes! We had spend the past 3 hours climbing hills so we were exhausted and hungry and the kids had to go to the bathroom. For an hour we stood around, saw ten tour buses come and go, the guides would give a 3 min. spiel on where Napoleon's Hat, the Camel, etc. were, and gave the groups 5 min. for photos and leave. It started to rain; we took cover inside trinket stalls. Our driver returned late. We were shocked to realize our next stop was only a 7 min drive away. He made excuses about having to park at a certain spot, so we had to hike 10 min. up a road to get to the restaurant & bathrooms! While we enjoyed the sights, the miserable hour standing around doing nothing ruined it for us and after lunch we were all ready to go back to the hotel and missed out on the rest of the tour.
THE PRIVATE TOUR- Mehmet Sr. is also an excellent guide, and offered to show our group the Green Tour so we hired him and the driver. We went to D. underground city, hiked 7km along the river in the Ihlara Valley non-stop. We visited one church, and loved the trees dripping water down on us. Lunch on the river was included and we ended at Selime. We didn't realize until later we didn't stop at the 13th C. Caravanserai. However, he was very knowledgeable and explained in detail the history and lifestyle of the cave dwellers and we all had a great time, even the five year old.
DRIVER #2 we hired for 100TL three hours did not desert us, and while he rushed us, he told us which way to go.

Awesome hotel, very spacious and clean room, super suggestive location and atmosphere. The personal was friendly and super helpful. They booked us an excursion which was perfectly organized and definitely worth the price. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!
