Great place for a vacation. Dervish Cave House is located in the heart for Gerome, 5 minutes walk from the shopping and eating parts of the town. Also, if you want to enjoy a panoramic view of the Goreme, just walk up the hill from the hotel for 5 minutes and there is the entire valley open in front of you leading to some good hiking trails with caves and fairy chimneys. The hotel is family owned with nice big comfortable airconditioned rooms with private en-suite bathrooms. To add to the charm, the rooms are in a natural cave. My room had a flat screen TV and a fireplace. My bathroom had a standup shower as well as a jetted tub, something you see in high end hotels.
Internet is complementary and for those of us who travel without a laptop, there is a computer at the reception which is for the guests to use.
Breakfast is complementary with traditional Turkish breakfast as well as hot breakfast including eggs served in a variety of forms as well as French toast (all made fresh when you ask for them), along with tea and coffee. You can have breakfast in the dining room or the lawn that has a great view of the town and the caves.
Cemal (pronounced Jemal in English) is the owner of the place and happens to be an excellent hot air balloon pilot as well. Very cordial and a true gentleman, he was a great resource for me. Rest of the hotel staff is very friendly and accomodating as well. They arranged the shuttle to and from Kayseri airport for me along with the hot air balloon ride and a sightseeing tour, all with pick up and drop off at the hotel. Cemal drove myself and some other hotel guests to the Whirling Dervish ceremony and waited outside for an hour for us to get done before driving us back - you don't get that kind of personal attention at a lot of places.
For me, all I had to do was reach Kayseri and from there onwards I was pampered till my flight back.
I had a great time during my stay at Dervish Cave House and would definitely stay there the next time I go to Goreme. I recommend Dervish Cave House with all the confidence that your stay will be as pleasant as mine.

We stayed in a spacious triple room which was tastefully decorated with a chimney in the corner overlooking the rose garden. We enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi after a long day walking. The breakfast had a good selection including home made mulberry jam made from the 250 years old mulberry tree in the courtyard. The garden itself is an oasis, colourful flowers in front of the 'fairy chimney' and overlooking the Goreme village.

The manager was a good host and personable. He gave us a good tip of a nearby sunset spot and organised the hot air balloon ride and airport transfer for us. The staff are friendly and cooked delicious made to order breakfast such as french toasts and cheese omelette.

We spent 3 nights at the Dervish Cave House in June and had a wonderful time. The hotel organizes tours to see the main sites in the region as well as the Whirling Dervish Ceremony (disappointing), Turkish Hamam Bath (Fun experience!) and the Balloon Ride (A Must Do!). The staff was very friendly and had recommendations for where to buy a carpet and where to eat (SOS Restaurant has really good Pides and you get a 10% discount). If you book a tour with the hotel, you receive a free ride to/from the airport which helped us save some lira. Both Dervish and Cemal were very helpful in assisting us during our stay.

We stayed in Room 6 which isn't technically a cave room but the bathroom was. It was spacious for 3 people and clean. The pillows were a little hard for my liking. They even washed some of our clothes for free!

Our favorites in the area were the Goreme Open Air Museum, smoking a water pipe in the restaruant with bean bag chairs, Seten Restaurant (the lamb was delicious) and the hospitality of everyone we met.

What a unique experience sleeping in a cave! The kids especially enjoyed it.

We were picked up at the airport, which was very nice, and then greeted by Cemal, who gave us information about the whole area. He was so super helpful and kind, offering to drive us places and taking us Pigeon Valley for a hike. We did sign up with him for Hot Air ballooning and practically got a private tour! Would highly recommend it! The other staff members were friendly too. The location was just a short walk down the hill to the center of Goreme. Dervish Cave House has a lovely courtyard with many flowers and trees, high on a hill so it had a very pretty view, especially at sunset. Breakfast consisted of cereals, made-to order eggs, fruits, vegetables, meats, bread. We also had an early morning shuttle to the airport to catch, so they opened up the breakfast room early for us. It was a vey nice gesture.

The hotel arranged our pick-up from the airport so our arrival was hastel free. The staff all spoke English and happily answered any questions we had. They also had excellent advice for which tours were best and how to maximize our time in Cappadocia. A couple of times they drove us to the start of our hikes (completely free of charge). The Caves rooms themselves were nice and clean. I can't recommend the Dervish Cave House enough. When you call, ask for Cemal.

The hotel is very nice and well located. Hosts are welcoming and offering cool activities (hiking, hot air balloon). The horse riding tour was nice but could be improved by avoiding riding on the street. Excellent breakfast as well. If you ask for restaurant recommendation, they partner with the SOS Restaurant offering good prices and very good food.

Dervis and company were wonderful hosts during our 4 night stay this March. The rooms were clean, cool carved stone, and even had a jacuzzi tub. The location is quite central with a nice view of town. (Goreme is tiny so not sure about some reviewers who complained about a 5 minute walk up a hill from the town Center.) In addition to a fine breakfast and happy hour they were also very helpful in planning the day. On our last day they helped us plan a hike an even picked us up two towns over at the end of the day.

Can't go wrong with this place!
