On arrival into Goreme, one is somewhat overawed by the landscape..And once again when entering our room at this cosy establishment, we were thrilled to be overawed again!
We had a triple share room and to say it was spacious was an understatement!! There was tons of room and a nice big bathroom with a spa!! The room was clean and serviced daily..I honestly cannot pick a single fault with it..Lighting is a little dim, but hey, what do you expect when staying in a cave??
Buffet breakfast is included and some of the goodies on offer were bread rolls, cheeses, boiled eggs, salami, olives, cucumber, tomatoes and you could choose from scrambled eggs, omelettes, french toast or fried eggs..The french toast was delicious!
Location was great - just a short stroll down to the village..Goreme is verrry hilly but the walk back to the hotel wasn't too bad, just a bit hard on the legs for a short stretch, unlike some other hotels which are much higher up..
The manager, Dervis, was extremely helpful..After we'd checked in he filled us in on tours, etc, which he was able to book, but didn't pressure us at all..On our first night we were very tired and didn't want to go far for dinner, so he recommended a little family run establishment just a few minutes walk away (he even walked us there when we were ready)..It was delightful as the small restaurant was actually attached to the family home and there were only 3 or 4 tables and you got to meet the whole family and as we left we popped our heads into the kitchen and said thanks for the great meal to the mum who was the cook...Wine was good too!
My friends booked a day tour with Dervis which I declined as I preferred to hire a scooter and see the sights myself, but the next day we booked a hot air balloon flight with him, using EZ Air and I would highly recommend this company, though there are literally dozens to choose from..
I can say I thoroughly enjoyed the 4 nights I spent here and would highly recommend it!!

We were very keen on staying in a cave house. Dervish Cave House has very nicely furnished cave rooms with excellent bathroms. Our room was bright and sunny though small like all cave rooms.

Very good Turkish breakfast with a choice of eggs or French toast in the lovely flower filled garden. The only aspect that could be improved was the staff/managment. Though perfectly ok to deal with, they weren't very friendly or open with suggestions. They were also not too happy that we booked the hot-air balloon ride through someone else we knew.

I would stil recommend Dervish for the lovely rooms and garden.

Spacious, well appointed rooms, clean and well kept. The views from the dining area are great and a short walk up the hill leads you to a fantastic panoramic view of the whole Goreme area where a lot of others hike to watch the sun set. Hot water and tea in the rooms was great after a long day and all the bathroom fixtures are nearly new or recently updated. We could not be happier with this hotel for their service. The owner, Dervis, speaks excellent English and provides great hospitality always ready to offer help and information on the area. He got bus schedules for us, made bus reservations, gave us a ride to the hiking trailhead and even offered to pick us up at the end of the hike.

We found this hotel and we did not regret our stay for 3 days! The hotel is a real hotel and not a guest house with good comfort. Rooms are tastly decorated and owns a nice bathrooms with jacuzzi and shower. It gas only 8 bedrooms and the owner and its staff are really helpful- no pressure or hassle on what to do/ to see in the region! The terrasse is really lovely and overlooking the nice town of Goreme with its incredible landscape. The breakfast is a treat with homemade omelett/eggs compared to others Turkish breakfast:) and finally the owner Dervis has installed some solar panels on the roof top, so it is a good fit for the environment. Don't forget to go to eat next door at the real local restaurant Nostalji!

I went here with my mum and dad before they headed back overseas to live and we absolutely loved it! The rooms were great (mine was a twin and was massive, theirs was a double, not as big but had a spa bath). Breakfast in the garden overlooking the landscape was great. We ever went on a tour with (Derrish?), the proprietor who showed us the surrounding region for a very reasonable price.

Can't recommend it enough for a magical time in Goreme.

Goreme is where you want to stay to see Capodoccia. The other towns are too big and Goreme has everything you need and still has charm. Deverish Cave House is perfectly located for walking to restaurants and shopping. Dervish can save you money. Do the balloon trip. It's expensive but you will not experience anything like it again.

The hotel has a beautiful garden where you can have breakfast or your own food you bring in for lunch or dinner. Dervish has beer and soft drinks but does not serve food other than breakfast, We brought our own wine which was not allowed in any other place we stayed in Turkey. The breakfast was great and as said in other reviews. you can order eggs and french toast at no extra charge, The garden is beautiful. There is a 250 year old mulberry tree and Dervish serves jam his Mother made from the fruit.

One night Dervish took all us up to the lookout point (short walk) and provided free wine as we watched the sun go down. Friendly.cozy. beautiful.
