Great value for the price. Room was clean, breakfast good and the staff was Very helpful. Staff gave great recommendations for local activities. Had a nice time sitting in the outdoor lobby meeting people and using the WiFi. Lots of stairs and bit of a clime to town but short trip so manageable. Enjoy your trip!

I'm conflicted about giving this hotel a poor review, but I think it's important to provide other travelers honest recommendations and give the hotel staff productive feedback.  But for ONE CRUCIAL PROBLEM, the Vezir Suites would be a great choice in Goreme.

The hotel sits among several similar "cave hotels," with a marvelous view of town and the chimney rocks that Cappadocia is famous for.  The Vezir has a lovely balcony(where they serve delicious Turkish breakfasts every morning), free wi-fi and the rooms are clean, modern and charming arched cave suites(though the beds are a little hard for my wife's taste).  And the staff?  Really great, particularly for this level hotel.  They made several tour reservations on our behalf, gave good advice on the town and even gave us a free ride to a nearby hiking trail.

So the bad part?  Next to Vezir is a small private lot where a sad dog is chained up at all times.  Beyond being absolutely pitiful, the dog begins howling and barking at 6:30 AM every morning.  I am a sound sleeper and have lived in some of the loudest cities in the world, but it's impossible to sleep through this dog.  It's unfortunate that so trivial a thing could really ruin a hotel, but if you can't sleep past 6:30 AM on your vacation, does anything else really matter?

I wish the hotel the best of luck in resolving this issue, because it really does seem like an easy fix.  Unfortunately, when I spoke with the staff about it I was told they've been trying for years to negotiate with the neighbor to no avail.  You'd be wise to ask about the "dog problem" before booking here.

Thank you for your review and your kind words about the actual operation of Vezir Cave Suites. It is a shame that one problem not directly related to the hotel caused for a poor evaluation.

I can however thank you as this allowed me to directly show the neighbour that guests are not happy with the dog. Since this review and further talk with the owner things have seemed to improve.

Once again we thank you for your review and hope tp see you again

We stayed here for one night. Ertan is very resourceful. He arranged all local tours, Turkish night, hot air balloons, scooter on hire, pottery kebap dinner and bus tickets to Antalya....in a seamless fashion. Even the staff was efficient. The girl at the reception, Ms. Ozge was very helpful. The view from our room was exceptional in the late evening. I had requested for suite No. 107 but we got Suite 109, which was the topmost suite in the hotel. We liked it very much. Fantastic Hotel and great people...

Room Tip: The views are great from the top rooms...no elevators so take your own call.

Great little hotel in the heart of Goreme. It does have a cave like atmosphere but you don't get the feeling that your room is in a 'cave' - maybe other hotels offer more of that. We got a room on the ground floor so it was not much of a view, but then again we didn't spend much time in the hotel.

What is really great about the place are the staff - Ertan and his crew are super friendly and helpful, helped us organize all our activities and made sure we were well taken care of. Would not hesitate to recommend this property to others.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floors

Vezir Caves is a small cosy place : Ertan is a great host, always willing to help out on anything that you want. Has all the info on his finger tips and will organise any of the stuff you want to do efficiently. He went out of his way to organise the pickup for the next leg of my trip at Izmir, where I was being blocked due to the language.

Location is very good, just 5 mins walk into the Goreme town centre. Staying in the cave hotel gives you a feeling of staying in with the long history and charm the place has. The rooms are clean & well serviced. Breakfast is good.

Overall a great deal for the price,

Room Tip: Choose a rome as high as possible, to get a better view
