Wow!!! Without a doubt - do it!!! It'll be the highlight of your holiday. I work as an airline pilot and I'm an avid paraglider pilot. So to be honest I was expecting ballooning to be a bit boring. But oh my was I wrong! I though beforehand that ballooning was go up... float along... go down. But not at all! We were contouring down into the valleys and past the fairy chimneys, sometimes within arm's reach. Everything was so calm and serene. And of course the scenery was spectacular. We flew with the owner - and what an amazing guy he is. As a person in the aviation industry, I can vouch for the safety and professionalism of the operation. No corners are cut... All his pilots are extremely well trained. Well beyond, in fact, normal western experience requirements. His equipment is top notch, and replaced regularly. And all the extras... Pickup at your hotel, breakfast, champagne afterwards, retrieve... All are awesome. One piece of advice... Book directly with the company. You won't save money if you book with a hotel or agency - you'll just end up with a cheaper company. And if you book directly you *may* fly with the owner :) Which is a very good thing indeed... You'll see!

Unforgettable experience. Our pilot, Hazim Yaman, was an expert and made us feel completely comfortable. While other balloons were landing in obscure locations where the passengers had to walk down a hill, our pilot landed us directly onto the truck's trailer, in an expertly gentle manner. He took us down into the valleys for incredible views of the cave houses and also made sure we were in the perfect spot to see the sun rise.

You cannot visit Cappadocia without experiencing a balloon ride. If you want to be sure you're with a safe pilot who will ensure a great experience, go with Voyager!

Perfection!! Voyager offers a VIP service, with smaller baskets and champagne at the end of the ride. You will feel completely safe during your ride as the balloon operator will show you in the very first seconds what he is able to do! Our operator was a master and we had a lot of fun during the flight. He was also explaining to us what we were observing from the top. The whole trip was recorded and you can buy the movies and pictures taken during the flight for a very reasonable price.

After getting up early on our first morning in Cappadocia to see the sunrise and seeing all the balloons gracefully floating in the skies, we knew it was something we had to do. We signed up at our hotel for a balloon tour for the next morning. Our hotel only booked tours with its guests for Voyager Tours.

The next morning, a Voyager van picked us up and brought us to the Voyager offices where we checked in and paid for our tour. The offered a welcoming snack, that consisted of some breakfast cakes, cookies and instant coffee. Don’t expect a meal. The office was very crowded and felt a little chaotic with all the people and tour groups there. Initially, we were assigned to a Japanese speaking guided balloon, until we had to ensure we wanted an English speaking guide.

Our group was driven out to our balloon where we were able to see it being filled with hot air. Then we were directed to climb into the assigned section of the balloon basket. The climb over the four foot sides of the basket might be challenging for some and wear appropriate clothing.

The scenery is beautiful and to see at different shades of light over the course of the sunrise was amazing. With all the balloons in the air, some might get apprehensive, but our pilot, Sadi, was very professional and put his passengers at ease by never having our balloon close to the other ones. He talked about doing his piloting training is the US and got to know his passengers by having us tell him where we were visiting from.

It was a great experience thanks to Voyager and am so happy that we took the balloon ride over Cappadocia.

wasn't going to originally fly with voyager. last minute plans. picked up on time and dripped off at restaurant check in area. it was packed with Korean group and chaotic. breakfast provided is plain rolls, olives, pink meat and cheese. we decided to wait to eat until we returned to our hotel. beautiful day for flying and incredible views. my 4 children all flew ages 7,10,12, and 14 with 2 youngest half price. the staff did an excellent job. despite having at least 20+ people in balloon it was compartmentalized so very comfortable. we thought the staff did a great job. we were the only ones who tipped staff. very expensive but worth it to see Cappadocia from the sky.
