Getting up so early might seem like a chore, but it is totally worth it to get into a hot air balloon and watch the sun rise and peek through the clouds in such a unique, alien (to us Canadians) landscape.
If you want to have a good little breakfast though, I recommend eating it before they bring you to their main office area for a 'breakfast layout' for while they collect everyone's names for the certificates they print up for everyone to keep at the end of the ride.
It was an awful spread and there wasn't even a proper tea-maker (which became standard after seeing how çay was served everywhere) available to the customers.
After asking me to write my name twice on a piece of paper, they still spelled my name wrong on my certificate.
But man, that balloon ride was fun. I never felt at risk - even when our basket totally smoked the top portion of a medium sized tree a bit during the ride
Our pilot Hakkan Yildiz, was quite funny and made informative comments about the surroundings and hot air balloons in general.
The champagne at the end of the ride was nice, but a little out of place for 6:30 in the morning in an Islamic country.
