Very professional team of people take you up in the air for breathtaking views of Capadotia and the sunrise. Kids loved it and said that this was the best experience of their vacation. Highly recommended.

“Great Experience”
Reviewed 29 August 2014

Amazing ride, a lot smoother than I thought it would be. Knowledge staff and we felt very safe, highly recommend. We also got an extra 20+ mins because they couldn't find a good landing spot. They could have more chairs in the waiting room though, my partner and I had to sit outside while we waited to leave. I suggest getting a balloon with less people too, we had 3 people per section of basket (there were 4 for the customers and one in the middle for the person controlling the balloon). It is better to be able to move around a bit to get good photos.

“Awesome experience!”

Magical experience!

The company comes to pick you up from your hotel. You need to be ready by 4 am, but we found that we had to wait a long time for some other guests. Once everyone is picked up, you are taken to their offices where you have to pay the balance due and have breakfast. They make you wait for at least 30 min!

"Breakfast" is only coffee and biscuits so don't expect much.

You are then driven to the site where there are 100s of balloons, which is very beautiful.

There is no set time for when the balloons take off so you could be waiting for a while. We saw people waiting whilst ours had already taken off. But once in the air and experience sunrise, it's magical!

Don't book in advance as you will get ripped off. Book when you arrive through your hotel. All offer the same deal / service. One traveller we met paid €90 with a basket of 8, while we paid €150 each for a "comfort" basket of 12! You are packed in like sardines and barely have room to stand comfortably.

“Beautiful experience”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

The Hot Air Balloon Ride was an amazing experience.

We chose Voyager over two other companies, because it was slightly cheaper. And if you pay by cash (instead of credit card), you get a cash discount also.

We weren't sure why Voyager was priced cheaper compared to other companies. As we were on our ride, we realized a few things...and maybe that's why.

1. There were too many people in one basket/balloon, so it felt crowded at times. It would have made a substantial difference if they knocked off 4-5 people.

2. Voyager takes off and lands far away from it's counterparts. Again, not sure why.

Having said that, the ride was beautiful. Watching the sunrise, the views, and floating over Cappadocia...everything was stunning. And there were no hiccups. So all in all, everything was great.

If you are price conscious, then going with Voyager makes sense. If not, it might be sensible to figure out what the difference is between Voyager and the other companies.

“Must do experience”
Reviewed 20 August 2014 via mobile

Interrupting my sleep for a 4:30am start would usually be a good way to get a rating downgrade, but in this case I am willing to excuse that feature. Being in the air with 99 other balloons is magic in itself, but a sunrise flight over the geological formations and excavations of Cappadocia is simply other worldly.

Our pilot, Sadí, was brilliant, handling the balloon with professional ease, taking us close to the formations, gliding over the ridges, controlling the balloon to give us what must have been one of the best rides of anyone. I felt sorry for some tourists in balloons that seemed to stay high above everything as we went into the valleys, and Sadí engaged with us over some of the features and places we were seeing.

The flight was supposed to be for one hour, but time was irrelevant. We were transfixed by the beauty around us. And on landing there was a chance to enjoy a drink before returning to our hotel for breakfast.
