Had a great sleep,my room was so comfortable, immaculate and had so much atmosphere. The family are friendly and helpful; they care about maintaining their reputation and book only top quality tours and balloon rides.

I found Koza Cave on the travel guide 'Lonely Planet - Turkey' where this is selected as a "top choice." With 3 nights of my stay, I can tell anybody if you want to feel not only the historic atmosphere of Cappadocia but friendly local boutique accomodations you must check in Koza Cave.

Breakfast is not tens of selections but wonderful home-made food (especially the jam and cheese). The hotel is managed by such an intimate family whom you can trust regarding recommendations of local travel agencies and so on. I heard from the manager (father) that it took about 5 years to build this hotel to be more like historical (using natural stone..) yet comfortable to stay. I could sense even the philosophy of the manager.

Any drawback? If you cannot stay one night without TV, you might be disappointed. But, when you decided to visit Cappadocia, where became famous mainly becuase of early Christianity refugees from 6th century, forgetting some electronic devices will definitely help. But don't worry: in-room Wi-Fi signal is strong enough.

Location is also good: 5~10 minutes walk from Goreme bus station, depending on your walking speed and the path. There is some slope but it won't make you panting. And they will be quickly at the bus station to pick you only if you ask any travel agencies at the bus station to call the hotel.

In all, if I visit Cappadocia again, Koza Cave will definitely be my top choice.

Room Tip: Email or call the hotel to ask some details (e.g., hair dryer), and they will be kind enough to help...

We stayed here earlier this month and highly recommend this hotel. It is a lovely hotel and the family that runs the hotel is lovely and could not have been more friendly and helpful. The airline lost my luggage and the hotel staff coordinated with the airlines/shuttle service to ensure it was delivered to the hotel. The breakfast was good and it was only a short walk to the main street. We had a wonderful time!

This small, family run hotel was one of the best i've ever stayed in! Staying in a cave room is a must do at least once in your life and this is the place to do it. The rooms are nicely decorated with a local theme. The hotel is a short walk to the main street in Goreme and also walking distance to the Goreme Open Air Museum. The hotel took care of our airport transfers and hot air balloon ride reservations in advance.

We stayed at Koza a few weeks ago, and couldn't have had a better time. The family who runs this place is so friendly and built the entire hotel themselves. Let them tell you the story and show you the handmade furniture. Delicious breakfast, great service, wonderful location.

Room Tip: All are amazing! All the photos are accurate as well.

If you want to stay in Goreme- this is the place to stay, Koza is an enchanting family hotel run by Ayse, Sam, Tamar and their father, The rooms are tastefully done and you can see the attention to detail and pains the family has taken in creating a truly wonderful atmosphere. The hosts are very generous- we were often offered interesting Turkish desserts to sample and at the same time incredibly attentive. We stayed in a double room with a jacuzzi and it is simply the best hotel experience in Turkey we had. Sam also helped us navigate through other parts of Turkey, was always on the phone helping us, offering advice on getting from one place to another and making bookings on our behalf. I would never stay in any other place in Goreme and am hoping this family opens more hotels in Turkey !!

Koza Cave hotel was honestly the best part of our 2 week trip around Turkey. If you are going to go to Goreme, you simply must stay here. It is one thing to look at all of the caves, but staying in one that has been restored down to every single detail makes all the difference. We visited a few other places, and were even intending on staying somewhere else, but nothing compared to Koza Cave Hotel.

However, the best part is Derves and the rest of the Durel family who owns it. Their hospitality makes you feel like you are part of their family We arrived into Goreme after an all night bus ride from Izmir. As we came into town tired and hungry...and they served us breakfast, helped us to our room, and then from there gave us a plan for our next 5 days in the area. All of their recommendations were perfect for what we wanted - all good value for money. Derves even took us around with another couple and showed us a great tour and his love for the area was contagious.

I am not sure if we will ever stay in better B&B anywhere...it is amazing!

Room Tip: All the rooms are different and have great character, so just choose one that fits your budget
