Perfect to stay after a daily tour in kapadokia, the hotel service is very good and also the rooms are comfortable. Really a place to visit in Turkey. The optional tours in the city are highly recommended

We only stayed one night, but as soon as we arrived, which was really early in the morning, the staff organized city tours for us to ensure we maximized our two-day stay. They also hooked us up with a Turkish Dance evening and helped us get our refund from the cancelled balloon expedition. Breakfast is really good and varied, great location near downtown Gorëme. Our only regret was not to get to spend more time there and enjoy the beautiful hotel and intereact with the friendly staff.

I can only confirm what others have already said about this wonderful family-run hotel. Although it does not offer the views that other hotels in Goreme no doubt provide, it more than makes up for this with the level of hospitality. Walking through the archway into the walled garden you instantly feel relaxed and welcome. The family and staff go out of their way to help, including driving me to the Open Air Museum at no extra charge which was very much appreciated on a hot morning. The breakfast choices are wide ranging and include produce from the owners' garden as well as home made yoghurt. I ate in the hotel both evenings and, having just spent 2
weeks in Turkey, can only comment that it was the best food I had during my stay. I would also add that having just stayed in 11 different hotels during the 2 weeks this was by far the best. If you like your hotels with character and don't want bland chain hotels then this hotel is the one for you.

Goreme is very centrally located to see all the attractions of Cappadocia. The open air museum is right outside the town as are many of the rock formations. Hot air balloons take off from here as well. And Safran Cave hotel is right in the city. We actually walked to the above attractions. Also, most of the restaurants are within 10 minutes walk.
This is a family run hotel. Their English skills are adequate but their service is excellent. They respond quickly to emails, booked our airport transfers and also hot air balloon rides and underground city tours.
The rooms are of good size with very modern bathrooms. The included breakfast was good.

Before coming to Cappadocia I’ve looked through all the hotels in Goreme, and most of the hotels in Urgup available online. I’ve chosen Saran Cave based on the excited reviews of the guests and nice pictures. Now I would like to confirm myself, that it is indeed a very beautiful family-run hotel. It is located right in the downtown of Goreme, close to the bus station, restaurants, and Open Air Museum.

We spent three wonderful days there staying in the triple stone room on the second floor. Our room was exceptionally clean, and cozy. The beds were very very comfortable. Bed sheets were crispy clean and neatly pressed. The cleaning was done every day, and was very good. The bathroom was comfortable and had an adequate supply of toiletries. The hotel also provided complimentary bottled water, which came very useful.

They had something like a portable air conditioner in the room, but we never used it. The weather in mid-September was beautiful, and we were fine with just the open windows.

The hotel is very busy during the day, but it’s surprisingly quiet during the night. We had a very good night sleep.

The breakfast served on the patio was a traditional Turkish breakfast, a basic one, but fresh, sufficient and good quality. You definitely won’t go hungry there. The hosts are there the entire time, making sure everybody has enough to eat. The lady owner, Mrs. Dilek also fixed omlets for the guests. If you are a fan of spicy food make sure to try her spicy spread “ezme”. It’s excellent. We also really enjoyed home-made jams, and spent the rest of our trip craving for Mrs. Dilek’s strawberry jam.

The family, which runs this hotel, is exceptionally friendly and sincerely hospitable. They are ready to offer any assistance at any time. Omer, who has taken over the reception just recently, is doing outstanding job welcoming the guests and accommodating any requests. He and his elder brother Erdem provided us with maps and useful information, so we could draw a better route. The father of the family (sorry, I forgot to ask his name) was very helpful giving us driving directions.

The atmosphere there is really unique, warm and home-like, and you can definitely tell, that this family is putting all their soul and effort in this place. Cappadocia itself is a magnificent place, and the Safran family does their best to make your trip truly unforgettable.

We surely enjoyed our stay there, and would love to come back again.
