“Beautiful property with great hosts”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

We stayed in arched suites for 3 nights. We selected this hotel based on the reviews on trip advisor and our experience was the same as most of the other guests of the hotel experienced, which was awesome. Rooms were very spacious, clean, best part being the view from the sundeck was very good especially the view of the Uchisar palace. Surroundings were very peaceful and quiet.

The stay was made even more memorable because of great hosts Osman and Hassan. Both of them along with other staff at the hotel were very courteous and helpful in terms of providing us all the information.

Breakfast was good, however the spread was limited, which could become repetitive but I guess that would be the case in most of the other hotels in that place

Only negative, if I could say was the internet connectivity was weak. But I guess at such a beautiful place like Cappadocia with so much of natural beauty to admire, it doesn't matter much there is strong internet connectivity or not and hence this "negative" point could be ignored by most.

All in all it was a great stay and I would highly recommend everyone to spend their stay at The Vineyard cave hotel.

Spent 4 nights here in a cave suite on the ground floor. Extremely spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated. And of course it stayed pleasant even in 35-40 degree C heat! Breakfasts were the best we had in 3 weeks in Turkey. Hasan and Osman were fantastic hosts, extremely helpful in making arrangements for tours, balloon rides, etc. Got a great private tour from Hasan as well.

Great location with easy walk to restaurants and shops in town as well as outdoor museum. Owners go the extra mile to make guests comfortable, plan trips, and take care of the little things that make this hotel stand out. Excellent breakfasts, great private tours on request from owner, room decorated with beautiful carpets and antiques. Excellent value with the added touch of a warm and hospitable host. Be sure to visit the close-by family carpet shop (Rose Carpets)---no pressure, and once again, great value. We hadn't planned on buying a carpet, but found some lovely pieces at truly fair prices and are very pleased with the purchases.

Room Tip: We stayed on first level in Room #7 - beautifully furnished, extra large bathroom. Other rooms look...

My daughter and I stayed at the Vineyard Cave Hotel a few weeks ago. I couldn't fault this little gem of a hotel. Osman was a great host with an excellent sense of humour. The rooms were fantastic. We had a ground floor room without a view but it did feel tucked into the hillside and was clean with a beautiful bathroom. As everyone else has said the hosts couldn't do enough and were a big part of the charm of this place. We also did private tour with Hasan and had a fabulous day with him.
The rooftop terrace is amazing as it has a view over all Goreme. The breakfasts were also the best we had in Turkey (and that is saying something!). One afternoon we came back tired after being in the heat and the young guys who serve breakfast asked if they could get us anything and moments later came with a plate of beautifully cut up fruit and tea. All part of the service. All done with a smile.
We also went to the family owned Rose Carpet shop and bought a carpet from Hasan. Later in Istanbul I was told what a great deal I had made - I didn't really even bargain as Hasan was clear about the price and I knew it was pretty good. So thanks again for an excellent trip to Goreme. I look forward to returning again. Don't hesitate to book a room here if you can get in.

I can not say enough wonderful things about our stay at this hotel which felt more like coming home than visiting a new place. Hasan and Osman are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We were lucky to do a private tour with Hasan and it was one of the highlights of our time in Turkey. His knowledge of the region and his complete willingness to organise the day(s) as we wanted them suited us perfectly. When you leave it truly feels as if you are leaving home and family behind. My boys were enthralled with our huge family cave, the breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip, the location was perfect, but what made it all magical was the genuine kindness of our hosts. Thank you Hasan and Osman. Believe all the reviews - stay here.

Where do I begin? This place is just awesome. Great views, super room. Amazing food, constant attention from staff. Osman and his staff are just super - they booked trips for me, airport shuttle, you name it. they even gave me a lift to a place to go hiking. Super affordable. If you're going to be in Goreme, this is the place to stay!

My sisters and I booked the triple room, and were so impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel; but most of all, the genuine hospitality of the owners Hasan and Osman. They made our stay so comfortable and carefree by helping us book our balloon tour, green tour and made dinner reservations. Osman also dropped us off at a couple tourist attractions so that we didn't have to walk up hill in the heat, which is so considerate. The homemade breakfast was also amazing, especially with the rooftop patio! We cannot thank them enough for their wonderful hospitality!
