“Amazing!!!”
Reviewed 8 August 2014 via mobile

This is a lovely place to stay, with an amazing view from
the rooftop. I had a good night sleep because the room is squeaky clean, the bed and pillows are so comfortable. The Manager (Marhaba, Murat!) and staff are really nice. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Cappadocia next.

The staff at Goreme house were absolutely central to our enjoyment of Cappadocia. From the day we booked with them, they were in contact with us about incredible tour offers that we hadn't seen before. These tours were incredible and took us to sites we had not heard of or considered. They were well-informed of the area's expeditions and sites and gave us reliable information that we came to count on. Also, they helped connect us with a solid shuttle service to Kayseri airport.

This is not a cave hotel, if that's what you're looking for. However, their atmosphere emulates the cave appeal endemic to Cappadocia. Our room was rustic and quiet, the bed comfortable. The food in the morning was a delicious smorgasbord of options and staff even made omelletes on demand. Goreme House's view into the downtown of Goreme is also wonderful on the terrace in the morning.

The only drawback to staying in downtown Goreme is the off-hour of the call to prayer (5am). While the call to prayer can be quite lovely, the imam is quite tone deaf. Also, if you're going to get your clothes washed at the hotel, be warned that they use a lot of detergent. Regardless, it's a great service that they offer when you're on the road.

Overall, we still talk about how great our stay here was and it's been almost a year.

I highly recommend Goreme House.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better views.

My sister and I had a great 3 day stay at the Goreme House back in April. Murat helped us organize our visit to Goreme. He took us on a tour one day and recommended that we do a group tour the other day. We booked the hot air balloon ride through the hotel and when I didn't realize that we were expected to pay for the balloon flight the morning we flew, it was no problem to just ask the balloon company to collect from Murat at the hotel the next day. The breakfast room has a great view and the patio is a lovely place to spend time reading after a long day of walking/touring.

Room Tip: Unfortunately, none of the rooms are soundproof, so you're bound to be woken early by the call t...

My partner and I spent 2 nights at Goreme House in early April and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely stay at this guesthouse again if we were to return to Cappadocia.

- Staff: Murat is THE man. He was always very friendly and available during our stay. He made sure we were comfortable and he kindly helped us book our hot air balloon excursion as well as a car rental. No request seemed to large for him and even upon our arrival, he had someone drive us to the Goreme Open Air Museum so that we wouldn't have to walk all the way there. Murat also supplied us with a map of Goreme on arrival, which we found very useful. Keep up the great work Murat!

- Room: Our double room was really cozy. The bed was comfortable and there was a small fridge and a kettle with tea in the room as well. The entire room/bathroom was tastefully decorated and everything was spotless when we arrived. No complaints about the room whatsoever.

- Location: The guest house is in the heart of Goreme and easy to find. It is located close to the Mosque, so you will hear the prayer call, but that's part of the whole experience!

- Breakfast: The breakfast is served in a bright room at the top of the guest house. We found the food selection very sufficient, with bread, cheeses, jams, honey, olives, fruit, tea, and coffee. We definitely enjoyed the breakfast and the view from the dining room, both of which started our days on a great note while we were there.

Overall, this was a lovely place to stay and it definitely gets my recommendation.

The Goreme House was situated near the center of town, but far enough off the main road that it's nice and quiet. The hotel has been recently renovated and the room quality is fantastic. Murat, the owner, was extremely helpful. He booked various things for us and really made us feel like v.i.p. guests even though we're not particularly important.

I don't know that I would try out another hotel if I were to go back. The level of service we received pretty much guarantees I'd stay here again if I return to the area.

The only complaint I can muster is that the call to prayer is quite loud as the speaker is close to the hotel so you'll most likely be woken up quite early for that, but falling back to sleep was not an issue for me - I was quite comfortable.

Thank you Murat for being so kind and helpful. Hope to see you again!

The hotel is very nice. It is situated in the centre , close to the bus station. Located on the hill. This hotel is very cosy. Cuite lush courtyard where the reception is. We lived on the second floor in a small but pritty room. Comfortable big bed, two bedside tables, a kettle, cups, coffee&tea, sugar. Upon our arrival there were two bottles of drinking water. The bathroom had a shower cabin, sink, Hairdryer, toilet with bidet, shower gel, shampoo, soap and Slippers. The breakfasts were glazed on the upper deck. There was visible for almost the entire city! Is a very beautiful panorama . Especially in the evening it was nice to sit and watch the sunset. Breakfast was buffet style. Quite a varied selection: several kinds of cheese, sausage, tomatoes, cucumbers, four types of olives, fresh bread, cakes, Turkish delights, jams several species, dried fruits, melons, and tea , coffee, juice. It was quite enough not to feel hungry before lunch. Administrators at the reception of this hotel are very friendly and attentive. First, we were immediately settled in the room, even though we arrived a little early. Thank you for this! Secondly, they explained in detail everything we asked in the city and offered services for excursions booking. We bought the whole day excursion to the underground city of Derinkuyu and to Ihlar Valley. We were very pleased with this tour. Third, the Manager has given a nice gift - several boxes of Rahat-lokum on the memory from the hotel when we left. There was a strong and stable signal VA-Fi Internet in the hotel. Our stay in Goreme House is full of very warm memories. And the whole city in General enjoyed us its beauty and grandeur.

Goreme House was very accommodating, and really made my stay in Goreme easy and relaxing. Fuat in particular was incredibly helpful. The apartments were lovely, and the food delicious. I would gladly recommend Goreme House to anyone vacationing in Cappadocia.
