Even before we arrived Hallis helped us out with a few queries and everyone was helpful once we got there.

The room was quaint and comfortable, but as a "cave style" room the door to the bathroom was quite low and we banged our heads a few times. Tea and coffee equipment is provided as well as one free bottle of water to get you started.

Breakfast is acceptable, with fresh orange juice and the coffee nice and strong. It starts late at 8am and goes till midday or more. This won't suit all people.

It's very close to the local mosque, so the 4:45am call to prayer can wake you.
It is also up the quiet end of town so there is very little traffic and peaceful all other times.

Bathroom cleaning could be improved and fresh coffee mugs would be nice (as they were just rinse and put back).

There are a couple of terraces and the courtyard to relax in and chat to fellow travellers which adds that nice feeling to your holiday.

Loved it. The staff are a bunch of real characters, and are amazingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beautiful and extremely filling. I loved the olive oil soaps in the bathroom.
We returned to London refreshed and inspired.

Goreme House was a welcome suprise after a long bus ride from Istanbul. The staff was extremely friendly - perhaps the best staff I came across during my travels thru Turkey. In addition to their being friendly, they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Goreme, its history, and sights/hikes to see there, and assisted me in organizing plane and bus tickets to Ephesus and Bodrum. Unlike other hotels/pensions which I visited upon my arrival, Goreme House was not filled with a young and noisy crowd or with a group of salesmen trying to sell you tours, balloon rides and the likes. The rooms at Goreme were immaculately clean and the view from the breakfast terrace, breathtaking. I would definitely recommend staying there. Helen from NYC

The people at Goreme House were a wealth of information about the area. They told us good places to hike and then were willıng to drive us to places to start the hikes. They recommended good restaurants in town. The breakfast was good and plentiful and the people would start the breakfast early and run it until late to accomodate everyone. The room was a little small and the window openned to the courtyard that everyone went through so we changed in the bathroom which was roomy.

Goreme House is a wonderful little hotel with an amazing staff. Hollis and the rest of the staff are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to help you. My friend and I felt very comfortable and "at home" here - they even cooked up the Quail eggs we bought for us (long story). Hollis helped us book whatever we needed (hot air balloon ride, hotel at our next destination, etc.). The rooms are cute and comfortable, there's a gorgeous view from the rooftop and great breakfast. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

The staff is friendly and professional. Everything was ok. The room suite 303 has a wonderful view. Very appreciate the bottles of water we found every day in the room (and also a bottle of wine). The breakfast is really fantastic: bread, toasts, different kinds of jam, honey, yogurt, boiled eggs, corn flakes, milk, tea, coffee, fresh orange juice, tomatoes, cheese, omelette! We really didn't need having the lunch. The position of Hotel is strategic, and you can directly walk to the near valley all around the village. A lot of good restaurants are in the near. The hotel staff can support if you need to rent a car. The transfer with the shuttle from or to Kayseri or Nevsheir airport is complimentary.
