I have travelled a lot and thought this was possibly the best hotel ever.
Was very impressed with the fact that we were given lots of information about what was available in the area eg wonderful balloon trips but didnt have our arm twisted to buy lots of day trips etc and was given what seemed sound advice about what was worth paying for and what wasnt.
I couldnt stay in one of the fairy chimneys because I cant manage a lot of stairs so we were in a ground floor room but it was very spacious and clean and had a fabulous view out over the town. Would have been even better if tea and coffee were available on ground floor but its a minor quibble.
Breakfast was heavenly - juices, coffee or various teas, fruits, cereals, breads (warm olive bread with thyme for example) and pastries, cheeses eggs meat ... and the restaurant was very impressive for evening meals - dont know how anyone could eat three courses as I was completely overwhelmed by two - and I dont often forgo a desert on holiday...
When we left too early for an organised breakfast on our last morning we were given a sandwich and juice to take to the airport.
I hope to be back and recomend it whole heartedly to anyone else visiting the area...

I had a wonderful time here. I tayed in room 6 and it was lovely, with an in-built cave seat with Turkish carpets. A lovely double bed. Somedays I would get woken up by the whooshing of helium gas by a passing hotair balloon - felt like I was in a fairytale. The service staff on the terrace are brilliant, and will offer you copious cups of coffee if you are planning to just spend the day admiring the view. I highly recommend this place.

We have to adjust our trip in order to make sure we stayed at Kelebek hotel and Kelebek Hotel didn't disappoint us. The room was amazing and so does all the staff. We had a memorable stay at the hotel , the hotel is located in one of the best place of Goreme. Moreover, the hotel has a unique activity provided to the hotel guest called Organic breakfast tour. The owner of the Hotel himself is the host for this tour. we have to travel 15 minutes by truck and then another 5 minutes walking down the valley to have breakfast right in the middle of the valley. Moreover, the Resturant at the hotel itself is amazing. their Pottery kebab is recommended. Room tips, King suits 109 has an amazing view.

Room Tip: Suits 109 got a good view and location..

The Kelebek was easily the best hotel we stayed in during our three week trip to Turkey and Croatia. We stayed in a little cave room with a charming little bathroom and just enough room for two people and their luggage. We specifically booked a tiny cave room for the experience, but for those who are claustrophobic, there are plenty of more luxurious options and rooms with bigger windows.
The staff were absolutely amazing and always went above and beyond. They helped us book a hot air balloon ride, and when we couldn't fly the first day (it was too windy) and had to return to our hotel, the staff at Kelebek had already booked us in for the next day.
I will never forget being up at 4:30 am each morning, completely jet lagged, and sitting out alone on the beautiful terrace. As soon as the staff at the cafe walked past to start work at 5 am, they would come right back holding a hot cup of tea, just another example of how little touches can make such a big difference.

Another highlight was definitely the organic breakfast served on the owner's family farm. Make sure to book this!

I would absolutely recommend the Kelebek if staying in Göreme....in fact, I wouldn't even bother looking at any other hotels!!

I stayed here with my family in May 2014 for two nights. The hotel is on a lovely hilltop location overlooking parts of Goreme and many fairy chimneys. We arrived with our own car and it was a little hard to find the hotel (we stopped to ask a few times) but that is probably the only negative about this hotel. There weren't a ton of parking spots but the staff at the hotel was very helpful at finding other spots nearby if the main spots were taken. The real standout of this hotel was the service provided by Mert, the hotel manager. When we arrived he gave us our keys and told us to come back to reception after we settled in. He then sat us down and worked out a whole tour program for us - asking what we were interested in and then providing helpful recommendations. We arrived on a Turkish national holiday (19 Mayis) so he helpfully advised us to head to the Goreme open air museum after 5pm to avoid the crowds. He also recommended excellent restaurants and signed us up for the free farm breakfast the next day. He also took us on a full tour of the hotel and offered us a free drink on the terrace at the end of the tour. He was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay! The hotel has free wi-fi in common areas and a few computers you can use to check email but most rooms don't get wi-fi (because they are in caves). We found that if we stood right next to the door of our room we could get service but I assume that varies by room. Pay close attention when booking your room because the rooms really vary (size, some have TVs, etc). I stayed in room 19 and thought it was excellent. The TV had channels in several languages. My parents were in room 113 and my dad thought it was a little too dark. The hotel arranged the balloon ride for us which was excellent and made everything really easy (I highly recommend doing it!) The farm breakfast was lovely - a wide variety of traditional Turkish breakfast items and fun jams (like eggplant and walnut!) We also got to see some chicken, geese and sheep while we were there! The breakfast leaves the hotel at 8:30 and lasts about 2 hours. If you do the balloon ride you will be back in time for the breakfast. One warning about the breakfast though - at one point you have to walk down a significant amount of steps - this was unexpected and could be challenging for anyone who has bad knees! (You don't have to walk back up those stairs though which helps!) We had the regular hotel breakfast on our second morning which was also excellent and had a really wide variety of options and eggs made to order. Overall the Kelebek was a lovely hotel and I would highly recommend it!

We had really a magic stay at Kelebek hotel. We really wanted to stay there as we had heard lots of great things about the structure and the actual experience was even beyond the expectations. Let's go in order. The hotel has perfect location with view over the fantastic town of Goreme and is few mins away from all the town spots. The all setting is fantastic, with the peculiar cave ambience merged with great taste on decore. We had to change 3 rooms as unfortunately it was fully booked when we reserved (do it in advance!) and all of them were fantastic and perfect value for the money. Service is also what the management of the hotel really drove to perfection, they followed us from the email booking all the way through, always with the smile and going beyond what you would normally expect, as they really wanted to make sure we had a perfect stay. They also are super helpful in organizing any type of activities around Cappadochia and are also offering free brakfast in the the super nice bar over the city on top of a fantastic authentice organic breakfast experience in the Goreme valley. We tried also the SPA with turkish bath and massage and was great. We really felt that our confort and enjoyment was at the center of the personnel focus, so big thanks to Unal, Mert and the team, and we can only reccomend not to miss this great spot in your Turkish vacations!
