What a place! We only had time to stay one night, but it was easily the best place my mother and I stayed on a two-week vacation to Italy and Turkey. The restaurant (where they serve the impressive free breakfast) was just lovely with a view of the whole valley of Goreme. The place truly seems like something from a fairytale. Our room, one of the caves, was clean and comfy, and now we can officially say we’ve slept in a cave. It felt luxurious and magical, and that price! It was ironically the cheapest place we stayed. We drove in from Ephesus (a great drive) and got a little lost trying to find the hotel on the narrow winding streets of Goreme. But we stopped in the main square and half the town seemed to stop what they were doing to help us find it. The hotel was a great launching point for seeing the sites, and I’m sure the staff would be very helpful setting up tours and activities for folks with more time.
