There are a lot of reasons for the high rating of this hotel, first it a short uphill walk from centrum. We stayed in the cave room and it was very large with great water pressure in the showers and always had hot water. The breakfasts were some of the best we have had in Turkey. Harun is from the region and has all the info you would ever need, he will arrange balloon rides and transfers at a reasonable price. He recommended the Top Deck Restaurant and we would certainly recommend it as well. Harun and Ali go out of their way to make your time there is very enjoyable. You can't go wrong in booking this hotel.

Room Tip: The cave rooms on the main level are wonderful and definitely worth the price difference.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights and loved the place. Haran and Ali were exceptionally helpful, giving us great advice and giving us lifts on more than one occasion. Breakfast was tasty and substantial, with eggs, fresh bread, a choice of jams and other toppings, some tomato and cucumber, and fruit. The room was large and clean, with a pretty wall painting behind the bed. The view from the window included one of Goreme's fairy chimneys. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed in Chelebi hotel for 3 nights and it was a perfect stay. It's centrally located hotel with huge clean rooms decorated in traditional style. They have broad walls and you won't hear your neighbours. Staff is so frendly and helpful! They helped us to organize balloon trip and derwish dances visit, also to rent bicycles and airport transfer. During out stay weather was rainy so we spent a lot of time in a hotel, but central heating worked perfect so it was very warm there. And breakfast was also nice - lots of small jams and snacks. The only problem - there was a bit dark in the room, light goes mostly from colorful turkish lamps. I really enjoyed our stay, so we'll definitely be back

Room Tip: It's very interesting to live in cave rooms but they are a bit dark

This hotel beat all of our expectations! Harun, the owner, is one of the friendliest people we met during our entire stay in Turkey and made us feel incredibly welcome during our time at his cave house. The breakfast spread was incredible and we were told during one of our breakfasts that they say you should have breakfast like a King, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a beggar, and we definitely felt royal during our breakfast. The staff was also incredibly helpful with helping us book the green tour and our hot air balloon flight. The location is a convenient short walk down to the main road which makes grabbing dinner easy. I would recommend Chelebi Cave House to my friends and family without question.

Harun and his family go out of their way to provide an excellent experience. Our room was spacious, clean and the breakfasts were excellent. It was sometimes hard to get my wife away from the hotel and courtyard since she felt so at home. Be sure and try the eggplant jam!!! at breakfast.

I chose this hotel solely based on reviews in Tripadviser and stayed here 4 nights.
Whilst I do not disagree with any comments made in more recent reviews. I only have this hotel in Groeme on which to base my comments.
Haron, as previous reviewers have already stated was a wonderful host and organised everything we needed. The hotel was always welcoming and somebody was there to greet us with drinks when we returned from long walks. Breakfasts were nice and fresh but certainly not the best we had in Turkey as previous reviewers have often stated.
The location is good as it is ten minutes walk down into town so it is not busy. I imagine that Goreme can get pretty crowded in the high season. You have several good restaurants in easy walking distance.
Based on our experience this is safe hotel to stay at if you are in Goreme.
