We stayed for two nights in a deluxe cave suite which was good value, very spacious, clean and had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The rooms have quite a luxurious feel. They're quite dark inside as mentioned by another reviewer and while it's the nature of a cave room it was a bit annoying at times. The hotel is a short walk down the hill to the centre. It has a nice private courtyard; there's not much of a view from the hotel but we were out and about for the two days anyway and it didn't make a difference to us.

The owners were very helpful and informative and Debra made good recommendations in terms of hot air balloon rides, restaurants and tours (I'd highly recommend Turkei Balloons, TopDeck restaurant and the Red Tour in turn).

The breakfast was the best we had in Turkey over a ten day trip- lots of choice and seriously good pancakes and omelettes made by the friendly young cook.

One negative which could easily be remedied is the lack of a blind or curtain by the main door of the room. The glass panel is opaque but the courtyard lights shine in at night and they're very bright.

Fortunately we have traveled all over the world. Hotels are the most important choices in all our travels and so we take great care with the selection. Erenbey was one of the best choices we've made so far! The hotel itself is fantastic, its architecture, rooms, common areas, cleaning, breakfast, all! But the hosts took the experience to a higher level! Debra and Kemal are a very special couple, it was fantastic to spend three days with them, being able to enjoy their sympathy, attention to detail and the kind way they treat each guest. Further, their advices made our short stay in Cappadocia become unforgettable. We will certainly return in the near future and recommend Erenbey to all our friends! Thank you for everything, Mariana & Rui (Portugal)

We stayed here for four nights while visiting the surrounding area, and the room and service was fantastic. The rooms are very large and beautiful, and were kept very clean. It was also quiet in the room during our stay. The owners and staff are always around to ask questions to. They helped us book activities and plan our day hikes in the surrounding areas, gave good recommendations for dinner (and even gave us a ride since they were on their way out ), and are available to just chat.

This hotel has a nice personal touch. It is fairly new so I'm sure it will climb the trip advisor ranks quickly!

I felt pure luxury at Erenbey Cave Hotel for the price I would have to pay at a motel in SFO. The owner Kemal graciously welcomed us to his family home that he had renovated to serve as a hotel. The lighting, the ambiance and the decor sets a comfortable and romantic mood. Both my fiance and I dropped our jaw when we went into the bathroom with double rain shower heads inside a huge shower with special LED lighting. The toilet was literally on a pedestal. We loved everything in our room. We had the deluxe room on the bottom floor furthest away from entrance of hotel. The breakfast buffet was one of the best ones we had in Turkey. I wasn't able to google map this hotel but it is located right next to Shoe String Cave hotel and that I was able to google map on our phone. They have space to park right outside of the hotel for free but the area is small and can get crowded. Goreme is a quaint town that is very walkable by foot. We left our car at the hotel and walked over town to shop and eat.

The hospitality business is all about the personal touch. Those who understand this simple concept, succeed, those who don't, end up catering mainly to the tour groups. Kemal & Debra understand this thoroughly, and come up with a winning formula at Eren Bey, the brainchild of her husband Kemal. He is on his feet, up and about, and talking non stop with all the local tidbits, juicy gossip, and of course, all the touristy information you may need, or perhaps not! There is nothing in Goreme that he does not know.

The hotel is barely 5 months old, and looks and feels spanking new. It is a bit misleading from the outside as you approach the hotel on a very shabby street with no clue where to park the car. However, Kemal very soon takes you under his wings, and not only creates a parking spot from thin air, but also helps you with the bags, and shows you to your lovely room. The rooms here )all 9 of them) come in differing sizes and locations. We had the family cave room that was so inviting as we entered, that we immediately had to take some pictures before we messed it up! We even photographed the bathroom that was huge! Both the room and the bathroom were built into a real cave. The only downside of such cave rooms is that there is little or no natural light or ventilation, and the place gets cold and damp after a while. Honestly, it did not bother me during the 2 days we were here. The only thing that bothered me was having to walk bent down in an dout of the bathroom, as the ceiling height was lower than my 6' frame! The room and bathroom is all stone and glass and wood with concealed, mood LED lighting all over. It makes for a very dramatic and romantic setting. Every possible amenity usually found in a5 star room is made available in the room and the bathroom.

Debra cooks up fresh pancakes and eggs accompanied with the best pot of coffee you will get other than at Dunkin. The aroma was enticing enough to have multiple cups. It is a family space, so I ended up meeting Kemal's extended family as well as Debra's father!

I have no doubt that Goreme is the best place to stay in Cappadocia, and Eren Bey is the best place to stay in Goreme. Thank you Kemal and Debra!

Room Tip: Family cave Room is a very good value. It can accommodate 3 if necessary.
