We stayed several days at the Anatolian Houses. Our room was very nice, with a large, round king bed, jacuzzi, daybed, and nice size bathroom, though there was little counter space. The one thing to be aware.of is there are no elevators, and there were a large number of outside concrete stairs to get to our room on the third floor. Cappadocia was a beautiful city, and we took an early morning hot air balloon ride that was breathtaking!

The hotel's location and decor are amazing. The caveat is due to the fact that many rooms are located many steps up from the lobby level, so if stairs are an issue for you, make sure your reservation is clear about this.

We had the opportunity to visit Cappadocia when it was snowing in mid March and this amazing property where rooms are designed like the original caves looks amazing when it is snow covered.

We could see the hot air balloons cruising through the sky during the snowfall and what a sight it was !!
Our room had a jacuzzi on the sunken area and bed on the elevated floor with a descending mosquito net setting which looked very charming indeed
The staff was very courteous and Breakfast spread was also very nice.
All in all a very happy experience

Room Tip: Look for a room on the ground floor as it gets slippery during winters due to the snow fall

We stayed in Anatolian Houses two nights as part of a tour. Our room was spacious and charming. We went to bed quite early the first night because we were getting up at 4:00 the next morning for a hot air balloon ride. Someone from the desk woke us up at 10:00 pm to ask about a restaurant charge. We had eaten in town--not at the hotel--and told them so. Unfortunately, getting back to sleep was difficult. We also had a plumbing problem (a continuously running toilet) that was never resolved. We informed the front desk the first morning we were there. When we returned after noon we were told it was fixed. It was not. After the third attempt to fix the problem, we notified the desk that it still was not fixed. We were offered a new room but chose not to move as we were leaving very early the next morning. Upon checking out, we found that our bill contained a charge for a spa service we had not used. Later, in the next city, our tour director received a call from the hotel saying we had not paid our bill. We again stated we had not used the service and heard no more about it. Breakfast was adequate, but they were not set up well to handle a large group (40 people). All in all, we give the hotel high marks for decor and accommodations but mediocre marks for service.

Rooms are very charming, nicely decorated, the hotel is settled against the rocks and caves that give all Capadoccia its charm and stunning beauty. Wifi is complimentary. Breakfast is not good at all. Our room was very nice, on he upper floor but a friend of us disliked his room at first floor because it lacked ventilation.
The hotel is located walking distance to Goreme’s shops and restaurants.
