Just returned after spending several nights in a 3 bed family room. Room spacious and clean. This hotel run by family ( 2 brothers ) who are extremely helpful and friendly. They are a great go to for help with booking any activities in the area. They are also hot air balloon pilots, so speak to them before booking a flight as they can provide better rates when booked through them. I bought an antique carpet from them and the price was incredible. They cooked dinner for us the night before we left and it was incredible. I just can not say enough nice things about this hotel, wonderful experience.

I have stayed in many hotels over the years and I have never written a review before but after my stay at the Canyon View Hotel - I felt inclined to do so.

The hotel is a cave hotel - it has an interesting history - it was a Christian church many centuries ago. Then it served as a home for many decades. Our room served as the animal stable.

My family stayed in the family room which served my family of 5 very nicely. It had a queen bed in the back room and 3 twin beds in the front room. The cave was very cozy and comfortable.

Seyit and Mustafa (the 2 brothers that own the hotel) were amazing hosts. They were very friendly and provided lots of great information. In fact Mustafa spent 2 full days with us as we toured the Cappadocia sights. Tea was always available and the breakfasts were delightful - especially the scrambled eggs with the spicy sausage!!

It is my pleasure to recommend this amazing hotel - they truly provided a WOW experience!!!

We stayed three nights. Their airport shuttle arrangement worked to perfection. Breakfast was nice. Easy walking distance to town center. Spend few mins at sunrise and sunset from their terrace, you will love it. The hotel operations is a family affair and it reflects Goreme life and I hope they keep it that way. Glad we visited in off season it was quite, serene and with snow all over.

if you want to relax, if you want to enjoy, if you want to have a good time, it is the perfect spot! The family there take care of you and they are so incredible open to the wishes of the guests! Why guests? Because they treat you like a guest! But do not forget! You have always to ask! They can offer a lot, but they do not present their services! It is not like in Western countries! They will not tell you, we can do this and this! It would not be polite! Ask! You will be surprised. As we did!

Stayed here for 2 nights in room 6 (excellent view once you walk out of the room!). Cant say anything bad about the room except the bath tub didnt drain and we could hear EVERYTHING going on outside. This brings me to their dog...It barks all morning and is pretty much right outside of the room. Very annoying. It came in our room 3 times on our first night. Yes, you heard me right, it came in our room..Very ninja-like. The TV didnt work, but they fixed it on our second day, but there were no English speaking channels, not that we were in the room much, but it would have been a nice option.
The food was ok, the hosts were great..Wish the hotel had a website to book through direct, but I am sure they will eventually.
Overall not a bad stay, I just wish I could have slept in or not been woken up by a 4 legged furball staring at me in the middle of the night.

Room Tip: Room 6 is a great one if they do something about the dog barking.

Our 4 night stay at Canyon View Hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is great and the the room had beautiful decoration. The room we stayed in was very large and it was very unique in design. The cave room had so much character and texture. It was very well decorated and comfortable. It also had free Wi-Fi which was really helpful. The hosts/owners Mustafa and Seyit were super nice and friendly and made our stay extremely pleasant. They had a very large selection of items for breakfast buffet and personally tended to the guests at breakfast. They even gave us a courtesy ride to Red Valley. We booked the Red and Green tours through them and the tours were fantastic value for our money. We would like to stay here again if we return to Goreme.
