We choose Canyon View Hotel for the position in Goreme. It is very well located in the upper side of the village and the price was good. There is a wonderful terrace where the breakfast is served, where you can stay during the evening to enjoy the view! The room was clean and confortable (We stayed in the cave room). They have wi-fi conection but sometimes it dropped out, but we consider it only a minor problem. The family is very lovely! We think Canion View Hotel has been a good choice!

We chose Canyon View as it has a great location in Goreme, with a wonderful view over the town from the terrace, but is more affordable than the slightly more upmarket offerings nearby. We loved it because it is a small family-run 'pension', and guests are made to feel so at home. Seyit and Mustafa could not have been more helpful in organising activities for us, and the prices were very good. It is also a charming historic building, and some of the rooms are the original cave rooms of the old church building (we stayed in the old kitchen, which was very spacious).

Breakfast is basic but fresh, and they will cook omelettes or other dishes on request. We were unfortunately unable to sample the home-cooked dinner as the ladies of the house were busy preparing Ramadan food at the time. But we could bring our own food and eat it on the terrace with wonderful views. Also the Seten restaurant just up the hill is fabulous.

Because it is a bit cheaper, the facilities may not be quite up to the standard of others. Our spa bath in the bathroom was a little rickety (although it worked fine), the wifi dropped out sometimes, and a couple of the lights seemed not to be working. There were just two tiny windows in the cave room, so we needed to keep the door open for air in the warm weather. For us, these are very minor problems and very much overridden by the charm, atmosphere and intimacy of the place.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 5 - a 'cave' suite with 4 beds and large bathroom with spa. If you like th...

Our experiences at the Canyon View Hotel were exceptional. We stayed for a total of 5 nights in total and each was wonderful. It is the place we will be returning to in the future as Seyit and his brother treated us like family and just couldn't do enough for us. We found the price very reasonable, breakfast was very good, and the rooms ( we stayed in different rooms as we returned after another tour) each had their own charm. If you want a place that is both relaxing as well as exciting, the only place is the Canyon View.

We stay 2 nights in canyon view hotel. Seyit and his brother is very nice to us and willing to help. Good breakfast and apple tea.

The room is quite clean and confortable. We took a suite with 3 beds. Great.

If I travel to Goreme again, I wil choose canyon view again for sure.

We stayed two nights at the Canyon View in June 2012. The owners of the hotel were very nice and the food was also tasty. The rooms were beautiful, with traditional styling. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Canyon View to anybody that's looking for a quite, clean and affordable place to stay.

We stayed at Canyon View for three nights in June 2012 during a two week independent tour through Turkey. This was the best accommodation we stayed in during this time and the price was very reasonable. We had arrived very early in the morning on the overnight bus from Fetiye and the staff kindly allowed us to check in to our room even though it was only 8am. The room was quirky and nicely decorated, with comfortable beds, a spa bath and it also had a private balcony with a great view. The hotel also has a rooftop terrace with superb views over Goreme. The breakfasts were fresh and plentiful. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.
