A very special hotel. My husband n I stayed in room number 3 and we both love it. Turkish decoration with a comfy bed ,a private balcony with good view.

Canyon view hotel not only just a hotel, you could plan every activities or tour here. We had a amazing hot air balloon flight with Seyit and only 8 passengers of us. A MUST!

If staying in Goreme this is the perfect place. Situated in amongst the cave houses, it is a short, albeit steep walk from the main shops. The ambience of this area and the streets around make it worth it. And watching the balloons each morning from the hotel terraces is such a wonderful experience. The owners and staff are all lovely and helpful and the omelettes they cooked each morning for us were delicious. We stayed 4 nights but would have loved to stay longer.

If you aren't familiar with this part of Turkey just be aware there are lots of stairs and few if any elevators. I'm in my mid sixties and have arthritis in my knees so climbing lots of stairs can be problematic. The hotel owner/manager was very accommodating and arranged a room on the lowest level of the hotel to minimize my discomfort. The room was large and very unique in that it is built of very large stone blocks. The bed was firm but comfortable.

The breakfast here was among the best I had in all of Turkey! There is a wide variety of fruit, nuts, cheese, olives, juices, breads, boiled eggs and for those that prefer, an egg concoction which they refer to as an omelette but which is really more like an egg soufflé as there are no fillings and it isn't folded over like an omelette. Very nicely done!!

Canyon View was selected by us based on Tripadvisor reviews - and we were not mistaken with our selection. We arrived late at night - and our host Mustafa was waiting for us even at 11 PM to check us in and offer us hot apple tea.

Stayed in room 6 and it is an original cave room. The hotel is small and has 6 rooms. The rooms are gracefully done with lots of carpets and there is a feeling of comfort in all the rooms. Nice and clean toilet. Arrangement for (unlimited) tea and coffee in all the rooms and it comes without any extra charge. There is a elaborate breakfast spread and do try their omelet!! Its excellent. Our room had two windows, so there was no claustrophobic feeling in the rooms which is common in many of the cave rooms in other hotels. Most of the rooms seems to have windows, but do check with the hotel before you book. Some of the rooms have nice balconies that provides wonderful views of the valley. The hotel provides home cooked dinner only if notified by noon. Dinner is charged separately.

Mustafa arranged for our balloon ride where his brother Seyit is the pilot. And we got a very good rate as compared with the other companies that I had talked with earlier. Mustafa also planned our sight seeing trip and suggested a route that we should follow. Mustafa went out of the way to come at night on our departure date and drop us at the bus stand. And let me mention another incident that talks a lot about Mustafa. The bus ticket he had helped us to buy had been overcharged slightly. When notified, Mustafa talked with the bus company, got the refund and transferred the money to our next hotel where we were staying. Just amazing!!

Finally, this hotel is not for people who want luxury or service of a star rated hotel. Canyon View is for those who want to stay in a quiet and comfortable hotel which provides personalized service.

Room Tip: Room 6 is the top most room of the hotel and is the best located room

We visited Goreme in May 2014. We had a wonderful time in this very unique part of the world.
Our stay at Canyon View was in room 3. It had a balcony with a great view. You could sit on the balcony and watch the hot air balloons in the morning. When we arrived early in the morning Mustafa offered us breakfast which was very much appreciated. Mustafa spoke very good English and all the staff are friendly.
Our bed was very comfy - the most comfortable bed we have had in the last 3 weeks while touring around.
There were a couple of things which I thought were worth mentioning, we had very intermittent wifi in our room - when we mentioned this to Mustafa he just said there wasn't a problem. However the wifi did work perfectly in the reception area when we tried it.
The shower over the bath did not have a holder on the wall for the hose. You held onto it while you showered. It looked like there may have been one on the wall at some stage - but it has been removed.
The servicing of the room was our lowest standard that we received while visiting Turkey. Because we were in a cave house quite a lot of gritty stuff fell from the ceiling. During our 3 night stay this was not cleaned up. It was all over the floor- which you kept walking through, it was all over the bathroom vanity and our toiletries etc. Maybe we should have asked for this to be cleaned up and the shower to be fixed.
We do not want to put people off staying at Canyon View as the location is good, the view is good, and it is value for money. However, we were a little disappointed with the things mentioned above after selecting this hotel from the great reviews we had read on trip advisor. We choose to wait until we had visited several other locations in Turkey before we put this review in as we wanted to see if our expectations were too high. All other places that we have stayed in that have a high rating on trip advisor have lived up to our expectations.

We spent one night at the hotel and on our early arrival Mustafa insisted we endulge in a hearty breakfast, which included an omelette they are renowned for. We were keen to take a balloon ride and Mustafa organized one with the Moroccan group, who his brother Said is affiliated with. It was the premiere flight and this included a big breakfast beforehand. The room we stayed in had ample space to accommodate a couple with 2 children. It was actually a large cave with another abutting it as ensuite bathroom. It consisted all of the modern trimmings, including a variety of teas. Mind your head if your 6 foot (180 cm) tall or over. It was a bit like an Aladdin cave and a wonderful place to be. The bedding, the towels, the carpets and furnishings were of quality standards. The service provided was acceptional as Mustafa organized a customized tour of the region to accommodate our brief stay. We absolutely loved this experience, and as the shuttle services were top class were flew in and out with ease. Thank you Mustafa, Said and your wives for making this an experience of a life time.

Room Tip: Ask for room number 5 or if the room you're given is as big as this one.

First of all i have to say that the trip to Cappadocia is a special trip for travellers anyway but chosing the hotel is a very important part of that.
We made our choice for very valuable for us 7-days journey. And it was 100% hit!!
While leaving the hotel we felt like we were leaving our own home - wonderfull flat on the very top of the hill with 2 'let it say' rooms (because they were devided into 2 parts of the flat) and special placement for the beds for all 3 of us so that we can have privacy living in one flat... Few steps up we had a terrace which was close to our own :) with amazing views where we drunk tea every morning after getting up.

We loved it all: friendly, kind and very complaisant Mustafa, his wife and all others who helped us and made our days from the morning great and more than pleasant,
The location of the hotel - close to the center but quite and with breathtaking views,
Our tasty breakfasts under the shaded terrace,
The attitude, the atmosphere, the peacefulness of the place...

All we can say is that this is the place we recommend for us to come back. And of course for all of you. Enjoy!!

Room Tip: We had a room for 3 on the top of he hotel and it as big and amazing. Ask for that:)
