In the fairy tale land of Goreme we found a cave hotel that made us feel like old friends!! Faruk and Mahmut were the best hosts ever. They were available any time of the day (or night) to help us with directions, restaurants, hikes, tours or transportation. They cooked, served and entertained us for 3 wonderful days.

The rooms were comfortable with the most comfortable bed I had I Turkey.

The magic of Goreme was enhanced by the wonderful experience that is Kismet Cave!!!

Beat location for viewing the hot air balloons.

We were at Kismet Cave House three years ago and loved the place. With its central location, it is perfect for wandering Goreme or finding a good restaurant. Whe we decided to go back to Cappadocia and stay at the same place. In the last three years, Faruk, the owner, has made a lot of improvements. The room decor has improved a lot and he has added a number of new featurese. The breakfast now can include such things as omlettes or fried eggs as well as the normal turkish hotel breakfast.

Faruk is the best part of this hotel. I have read a couple of the negative reviews and cannot believe we are at the same place. Faruk is always a gentleman with the needs of his guests his mind. He goes above and beyond the call of duty. The last time I stayed, I booked all my own tours but this time, Faruk did it and I got much better quality.

When we return to Goreme - soon we hope - we plan on staying at Kismet Cave House again. I will always recommend it to anyone who asks.

My fiancé and I stayed in this hotel for a few days. It was really nice, we had a room in our cave, with a massive bed and bathroom with a big bath. Nice sleep, breakfast was nice too, the cherries, and all fresh products. The best thing of it is Faruk, he makes you feel like home. He is a brilliant host, organises lots of activities for you, feeds you, and makes sure you have the greatest time there. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back.

Visited Kismet back in with my wife and 3 friends after searching around for the top ranked place in Cappadocia and we were not disappointed! The place was a second home! A quaint little cozy turkish cave house, very tastefully done up and each room had a personal touch. We were lucky enough to get the Tulip room which had a full fledged jaccuzzi tub.

Farouk (the owner) was a most gracious host, he helped us plan our entire time in Cappadocia down to the last detail and arranged all the tours. Hands down everybody enjoyed the hotel more than cappadocia itself. A truly memorable experience.

Room Tip: Tulip room for the Jacuzzi in the bathroom!

We stayed here for four nights.
Yes, you could do it in two days but the third full day allows you options for walking over and through the valleys which takes time but it very much worth it.
Our room in the cave house was a proper cave room which was nice. The room was big, as was the bathroom. There was no room service during our stay (e.g. beds weren’t made, cups or towels replaced) but we were provided with a kettle. Given that the room was 60E a night, there will certainly be cheaper options available.
However. The owner, Faruk, was wonderful. He cheerily rescued us from Nevsehir bus station late at night, even taking us to a local restaurant for a quick meal before retiring. In addition, he arranged all of our activities throughout our stay, including our onwards bus trip. When we mentioned horse riding we were lucky enough to have him accompany us on a horse ride through Rose Valley which was a highlight. Faruk was born locally so he knows everything and everybody. If you are staying with him, we recommend that you don’t bother pre-arranging any activities, just let Faruk sort it out for you.
Breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast and each morning Faruk cooked eggs and a type of gozleme thing. He was an amazing host and always had a smile.

Room Tip: See if you can get a real cave room
