Staying at Kismet Cave hotel was a great experience for us. Faruk is a wonderful host, full of information about sightseeing and life in Cappadocia. The hotel is beaufitully decorated and our room was cosy, warm (we stayed in winter) and full of beautiful furnitures. The boys enjoyed the Underground City and making snowmen. We hope to come back to this amazing part of Turkey one day.

Kismet Cave House was a real special place for our Cappadocia visit. Just outside Goreme center, this hotel was perfect for us. Great fresh breakfast. Two minute walk to Goreme shops, restaurants, bus station. Faruk, owner and host, is most accommodating. Please spend some time with him if you have the chance. Very kind. Quite witty and fun. And he's a Yul Brynner look-a-like!

This review, my first on TripAdvisor, is long overdue. However, I can't recommend Kismet Cave House more highly. The hotel itself is very comfortable, and breakfast on the terrace looking out over Goreme is a wonderful way to start the day. What makes this place truely special though is the owner, Faruk, who is the most hospitable host I have ever come across. Faruk spent much of his time with us, taking us on walks and driving us to places of interest, and it was this that made our time in Cappadocia so memorable. I hope to return to Cappadocia and, if I do, I will be staying at Kismet Cave House.

This small hotel is a gem. The rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished in traditional style (I had the Tulip Room upstairs). They are comfortable and clean - the most comfortable bed I had in Turkey! Bathrooms are modern and clean - mine even had a spa bath. But the bonus of Kismet Cave House is the owner, Faruk, who served me very good breakfasts and went out of his way to make sure that I enjoyed my stay in Cappadocia and saw everything of interest in the region. On the second day the private driver/guide was ill, so Faruk gave up his day to be my personal driver/guide/lunch host. He gave me an interesting day of varied experiences and from his conversation I certainly learned more about Turkey than I could from the guide book. Cannot recommend more highly.

Travelled with our 9 year old daughter. Actually we celebrated her 9th Bday at Kismet with Faruk, his boys and other guests. Our stay at Kismet was nice . We were in Daisy Cave room . The room was spacious and the temperature inside the room was perfect to make us comfortable. As it was a cave room , it had a slight volcanic smell, which we got used to after some time. Faruk was always around to help and every discussion was supported by a cup of tea :). The breakfast is simple, mostly home made stuff and fresh fruits from the garden. Our stay would have been totally fantastic and Excellent , if we didnt end up at the wrong airport while leaving Cappadocia :). Its important to understand that Cappadocia doesnt have its own airport , its served by two nearby airport ( Kayseri & Nevsehir ). Luckily we managed to find another flight from that airport in time to catch our connecting flight from Istanbul .

We stayed during December which is the slow time. In fact there was only two rooms occupied. Farouk, the owner, was our personal cook, butler, driver, and guide. The rooms were nice and spacious. The location is very close to everything. The hikes are great and everyone is very friendly. Bottom line the area is really nice, the people are great and the history is wonderful. The area should be a must see for anyone.
