We stayed there for 3 nights and can only recommend it. I can vouch for the breakfast and rooms just as other reviewers did. I shall add that renting a car through the owner costs about 30 TL less than renting it with any other company in town (90-100 TL vs 120-140 TL). The location is very convenient and I think what really adds to the value of the overall experience is the owner's commitment and knowledgeability. A note: ask the owner to arrange a dolmus (minibus) transfer beforehand from the airport (in our case: Nevsehir) to Kismet, or else you will have to pay for a taxi (in our case: 120 TL).

Based on Trip advisor reviews we choose Kismet Cave & off course owner "Faruk". I just requested him to book one room for my family through email. Also Faruk was very prompt in assisting in all my travel related queries. Even after a shot notice he arranged airport pick up for us.We arrived @ 9.30 AM & offered us breakfast. As we were late as per daily tour schedule he arranged his own car & took us to Red line tour. For a next day also he arranged balloon ride & green tour without any hassles.
Faruk & sons managing all activities. Even he help us to fix my wife's shoe sole.
Room we stayed was standard type with antique & rustic look with huge bathroom.
Breakfast we loved fresh fruits.
Faruk Some suggestions I would like to mention for improvement-
1) Breakfast items or varieties shall be increased.
2) A/C shall be provided especially in summer time ( It was 32 deg. when we visited)
3) Liquid soap shall be provided.

I'll add to the stream of great reviews of the Kismet Cave Hotel. The hotel is beautiful - very nicely-furnished and with beautiful views and great atmosphere. Location is very central. Breakfast was excellent. But above all else, meeting Faruk was a huge highlight of our trip. He organized our tours, volunteered his son to guide us hiking and and not only took us to Turkish Nights in Avanos, but hung out with us until the early morning hours discussing Turkish history and culture and giving us great insights on his beautiful country. We met a lot of great people in Turkey, and Faruk was one of the finest.

We stayed at the Kismet Cave House in late June. The location is great with the town centre only a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and are beautiful and are tastefully decorated. The BEST part of the stay though was meeting the owner, Faruk. The hospitality shown by Faruk was the best I have ever had. He was at the front door to receive us on our arrival late at night with a bright smile on his face. He made our stay extremely comfortable and memorable. We made our booking through Hotels.com, hence free pickup from airport and breakfast were not included in the room price (they would have been had we booked directly through the hotel's website) - Faruk gave us a significant discount for the breakfast and the pick-up fare as we had mistakenly thought that the Hotels.com price covered these costs. Faruk is from this area. He took us on the private tour of the area. During our 4 day stay at the Kismet Cave House, we felt like we were staying new friends in Turkey. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I traveled in a group of 7 people, young couples and a small family, and stumbled upon this place by pure chance. We are Cirque Du Soleil performers that have a show in Antalya and decided to drive to gorême for a wkend. What a pleasant surprise to find this little gem of a hotel. Our rooms were beautifully decorated and cool with cave air. Faruk was a gracious host, recommending restaurants and attractions and simply just chatting about the area since he has lived there his whole life. We will have great memories of having late night tea with him. And we even bought 2 beautiful rugs from him! Thank you for this beautiful and memorable stay Kismet Cave Hotel!

Faruk is like no other! My husband and I were traveling for two weeks throughout Turkey and flew from Istanbul to Cappadocia on our second day in this fantastic country. We did not get into Cappadocia until very late in the evening and upon our arrival to Kismit Cave Hotel Faruk was waiting with food and an opportunity to relax and see beautiful Goreme at night with Faruk as our personal tour guide. You didn't feel like you are at a hotel but at a friends home. Wonderful hostility, great food surrounded by intense beauty! Stay with Faruk at Kismit Cave you will not be sorry.

We (family of four) have just returned home after spending 4 fantastic days at the Kismet Cave House. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable and the atmosphere is unique. Faruk is a fantastic host and his treatment of his guests is outstanding. Not only was he at the front door to receive us on our arrival, he was always available at all hours of the day and night, with a bright smile on his face. He went out of his way to make our stay extremly comfortable and memorable. Each day we had a number of rounds of kava and a apple flavored tea on the house while discussing various subjects with Faruk. On our last evening, all of the guests of the hotel were treated to dinner cooked by Faruk and his family. We did not feel that we were staying at a hotel, it felt more more like staying with family friends.

We were also very impressed by Faruk's straightforwardness in our dealings with him. As we had booked through Hotels.com, breakfast was not included in the room price (it would have been had we booked directly through the hotel's website), Faruk graciously offered a significant discount for the breakfast. Similarly our booking through Hotels.com did not include free pick-up from the Kayseri airport (again, it is covered in the room price if booked directly through the hotel's website), yet again Faruk discounted the pick-up cost as we had mistakenly thought that the Hotels.com price covered this cost. We also availed the private tour for the family offered by Faruk and were very comfortable in his 9 seater air conditioned Mercedes van. Prior to our arrival, Faruk had made it clear that the cost of the private tour only covered the cost of transportation and that the cost of a guide, lunch or entrance fees was not included.

We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning to visit the Cappadocia region. You are not likely to find a better hotel than Kismet Cave House nor a host better than Faruk.
