So far the best accommodation that I've been to! Breathtaking views of the valley and Mount Erciyes. We stayed at Vasil Konagi, our room is very clean and serene. I even liked the iPOD song selections! It kept me calm and grounded. You might hear faint outside noise but keep in mind, this is a restored/renovated ancient dwellings, underground tunnels and caves converted to a living spaces in a village type setting so soundproofing may not be as what you expected. The designer did a great job in decorating the rooms, from the common area, living/dining room, restaurant and I was lucky enough to see one of the rooms with the pool. At 5pm daily, there's a cellar tour so don't miss that! It is a great way to know more about the property and history behind it. Breakfast is good as well as the cookies they leave at my bedside table, cocktails are ok too (not watered down). Staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall my friends and I had an amazing time!

the hotel is unique, cave rooms are nice, the 180 degree view from our room was beautiful, though there are three issues i wanted to mention, firstly, sheets need washings because you can still smell the perfume of the previous user of the room, secondly we should have ask for a room far from the village road, it was timely during our stay that the road was undergoing repair, and last thing, when we ask for room service for laundry, i called the front desk ( a male concierge), nobody came, and I didn't care reminding them. But the lady who welcomed us the first day was really accomodating, nice and helpful. But Capadoccia itself is worth seeing...

The Argos hotel is clearly proud of their many recognitions, as the lobby is adorned with a huge variety of magazine articles touting their place in "Small Hotels of the World," and the like. The hotel itself is well deserving of the accolades. The rooms are nice, unique spaces, the restaurant with good food, and a nice atmosphere, sitting outside or in, and a bar that is a good place to while away a few lazy hours. The front desk staff was quite helpful, recommending walks, etc. The restaurant/bar staff were clearly well-trained, but they had not mastered what it is to work in a truly top notch service of a 5-star restaurant. The food was good, though not remarkably so, a compromise for the view, I suppose.

These are the positives. The challenge with the property is not a fault of the hotel itself, though is definitely worth talking about. I have stayed in a number of luxury small hotels in exotic locations around the world (Orange County in India, etc.) One of the great things about these hotels is the great feeling of privacy and intimacy that comes with a small hotel in a unique setting (which Argos def. has). However, the hotel is built with many of the rooms directly on the road that leads to reception. Heavy vans/trucks rumble past at least a couple times an hour. We actually changed rooms the first night, due to the noise shaking through the room. Additionally, that room looked directly into the reception area, meaning sitting on our balcony we were listening to people checking in and out, and they in turn were looking at/listening to us. This feeling of "being on display" continued due to the constant hum of work that was taking place both on and around the property. The hotel doesn't have control over what happens nearby, but it's worth mentioning as it definitely distracts from the privacy/romance I would expect from a hotel like this. Overall, it's a good place to stay for a couple nights, and once they have their pool up and running it will definitely be worth a visit.

Room Tip: 3503 has a great view/semi-private balcony.

Beautiful small hotel. Kudos to the hotel's interior designer. I didn't realize it was possible to make an already beautiful place (Uchisar) into an even more beautiful work of art. The suite we stayed in was so beautiful, it felt wonderful to come back to it after a long day of touring the whole Cappadocia.

The staff are wonderful, they are attentive without being intrusive.

The breakfast is good.

So, I have to say that this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The place is fantastic. It's like a small, beautiful village with it's own personality. They have really payed attention to detail. The grounds, the common areas, the rooms, the decor, everything is perfect. It's one of the finest boutique hotels I've seen.

I had a cave room, which exceeded my already high expectations as I had reviewed the property on tripadivsor and other media publications. They even had an iPod with lovely music loaded on it in the room. Our fireplace came with some wood and we had a little romantic fire going for most of the evening.

The staff are friendly, especially the manager. She was an absolute delight and made you feel right at home. The hotel dog Badem is such a character and was a highlight for my wife who loves animals.

The patio and common rooms are amazing. They are decorated in a modern but also authentic region flavour and it really really works.

Now the caveat. This is not really the fault of the hotel. But after reading about the hotel on it's website, reviews online and a few articles on how it's perfect for couples and romantic getaways (which, from the rooms, restaurant, bars, lounge, staff, etc it is!) I did not expect to have small children everywhere, all the time.

We only stayed 3 days, 2 nights, but the entire time we were there small children were running around screaming, playing games on their iPads at full volume. They were on the common room floor playing games loudly. The restaurant, which has a great selection of region food and wine, both nights there were 2-3 tables with toddlers smashing their plates, screaming and again, more iphones and ipads with games and videos at full volume.

This does not make for a relaxing or romantic environment.

I don't know if this was just a bad couple of days, but I would guess about 1/3 or 1/4 of the guests had children and they certainly didn't care that they were making loud disruptions in what would have otherwise been a perfect romantic setting. We were not the only ones annoyed from the looks of some of the other couples of all ages that were also trying to enjoy the beautiful common areas, terraces and diningroom.

So, other than the screaming kids blasting games on i-devices, this was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. I guess I would recommend it for families?

Room Tip: Cave rooms are really cool!

An outstanding hotel. Minimalist in decor. My wife and I had a suite, extremely spacious. The dinner menu was varied and all food and service were great. We try to focus on local wines when we travel and service staff were helpful with suggestions.

This is a dream come true. There is no where on earth so unique! a must experience! The rooms are all one of a kind. From a cave to a two level suite with private pool and stunning views. The restaurants and bars are cozy and welcoming! The fool is local and delicious! I highly recommend this gem!
