We had a long debate about whether to go here given the divided reviews but in the end, gave it a go because it looked so nice. It did not disappoint one bit.
The service was absolutely lovely, which left me really puzzled about some of the other reviews - it was friendly & attentive, without being intrusive. The food was also great - better than usual standard mezze and a good range of mains and desserts. And the wine list was very good, as you'd expect from a place with a wine list attached.
The ambience also deserves a mention - a nice indoor/outdoor feel, with a range of different nooks.
To put this in context, we ate at Ziggy's and Muti while in town and found them all of a similar, high standard (though Ziggy's probably offers less choice than Han Ciragan).
Can't imagine where the bad reviews of Han Ciragan came from - maybe people had extremely high expectations due to the Michelin review, or maybe they are just from tourists who were looking for something more British or something...but my recommendation would be to eat there - I would go back!
