“Third stay at the beautiful Dedeli Konak”
Reviewed 26 July 2013

As the title suggests this was my third stay at Dedeli Konak. Each year has shown improvements with new beds, new windows, more rooms, new furniture, new carpets, and the same great hospitality as always. Mr. Ibrahim and Mr. Faruk and their families are always so very kind to me. Breakfast is always delicious made by the generous Mrs. and I love looking into Urgup Valley as the sun rises and sets. Plans are in the making to expand upward with the kitchen and a new room up top and Mr Faruk is always so kind to let me shoot the sunset from the "roof" which is really the mountain top as it is a true cave hotel. From this point you can see the weather rolling in and out of the Valley and the distant hills and valleys with fairy chimneys. Gorgeous!
I have been lucky enough to sleep in the "honeymoon" suite each time. It has a spacious jacuzzi bath and shower, towel warmers and it is always spotlessly clean. The towels are rough and clean smelling and the bedding is always super fresh. This year I had a brand new bed and for some reason I always have the absolute best sleeps at Dedeli Konak. Mrs. decorates the room with comfortable furniture and there is a small fireplace with comfortable chairs and table. The bed has a great quilt and there is a small fridge and desk and a long divan to read on.
They are improving the first floor room to include windows and I was fascinated seeing the way a cave room is expanded. This process does involve power tools but the noise never bothered me. There are open stone stairs to climb to the 4 various floors but the first floor room next to reception is certainly wheel-chair accessible. I enjoy walking into the village in the evening for suppers and I never feel in danger as a solo female. This year the cherry and apricot trees were fruiting and the landscape very fresh and green. I will be back again to stay at Dedeli Konak if I am lucky. A truly sweet Cave hotel with an honestly good family ownership.

My family and I had a great experience in Turkey. We booked our two weeks tour with Yuki tours and it was all a success. Cappadocia was wonderful; the hotel has very nice with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. My kids and nephews were happy with the internet and TV services. The staff was all the time ready to help and ensuring transportation was always ready for our daily tours and transfer from and to the airport.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel on our final tour package. It was an amazing experience esp the services provided to us by the Hotel Manage Mr Faruk and the Owner Mr Ibrahim. Both these men went to such great lengths to make our stay a memorable one at Urgup The tour Operator Mr Ibrahim is a friendly and honest person who made our visit to Turkey so enjoyable.
We wish him and his family all our best and will not hesitate to book another tour with him in future.

We booked a turkey tour of Ephesus, Pammukale and Cappadocia through Ibrahim who runs Yuki Tours and also owns this cave hotel.

Our host was extremely gracious and his wife a fantastic cook. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, with the cave walls surrounding us and furnishing was colourful and attractive. Our room was equipped with two single beds as well as a King sized cot. Being a room with stone walls it is cool, sometimes even cold throughout the day. The bathroom was huge, with ample space, a Jacuzzi and a separate shower area.
The only downside is that there is no elevator so you have to lug your baggage up 2 or 3 flights of stairs, though we had help.

Our host was adding on to the property with a couple more spacious rooms and we had the pleasure of being shown his exciting discovery of old cave rooms below his property.

The hotel is picturesquely Cappadocian and a short walk away from the main town area. Make sure you note landmarks to find your way back. The streets are narrow and to the unfamiliar its easy to lose your way, though not for long. Its a very small town.

We also booked the hot air balloon tour through Yuki and that is definitely worth doing too. Fantastic view of the Cappadocia landscape and the beauty of over 50 balloons in the air.
Our guides for the day tours were fun and spoke excellent English. Be prepared to walk and climb, especially when visiting Rose Valley.
Cappadocia was my favourite part of the tour and unlike anything you will likely see anywhere else.

We booked a Turkey tour via Ibrahim, the owner of this magnificient hotel in May 2013 for June 10-18th.
Cappadocia was the last place in our iternary but the BEST.We regret not adding one more day here.We were given a magnificient room on the terrace with Jacuzzi.Awesome ambience and hospitality.everything in tour was well arranged by Ibrahim and even our last moment requests were met.Hot air ballon arranged here will be a very cherished moment. Two days of tour arranged here with a guide Eigen(may be wrongly spelt) was also very good.
Thanks Ibrahim for everything and next time we come over to Turkey, we will stay here for atleast 3 days.
In the ground floor, there are a couple of new rooms coming up too...:)
