“The best experience”

It was our best experience in the turkey trip.
The property is beautiful but the service is out of the world.
They upgraded us to a suite and also kept a close watch to our bookings n flight schedules to wake and inform us on time.
Super experience.

Esbelli Evi is an absolute first class operation in every way, and a relative bargain for what you receive in terms of thoughtful, friendly, and attentive service, as well as delightful accommodations. In e-mails arranging our reservation (I recommend contacting them early as they have limited rooms and are justifiably popular – we booked in mid-February for early May and they were already mostly full) I also requested assistance with airport transfers from Keyseri, which they took care of booking without another word ($10/person in a shared van). We arrived late in the evening and the owners were there waiting for us with a warm welcome. They provided a quick but efficient tour of the grounds and directed us to our room where everything was prepared nicely. They have an honor system for certain drinks provided from the mini-fridge, which is both convenient and reasonably priced. They also have the same system for use of the laundry machines ($10/load) which are new and readily accessible. When we were napping and delayed getting our clothes from the dryer by an hour, a staff member had removed, folded, and delivered them to our door. I suppose that some may have been bothered by this, but we found it quite thoughtful. Breakfast had the same offerings daily, but they were many and of high quality. A long menu of made-to-order egg offerings is available and the staff are very efficient in providing these and fresh-squeezed juices. We had some idea of what we wanted to do each day, but would speak to Yasemin about our plans and she was always very willing and able to help facilitate and make suggestions regarding them. She helped by hiring a taxi driver at a fixed price ($80-100/day) and set a list of recommended stops for a couple of excursions we took to valleys around Cappadocia, they facilitated working with our balloon company in getting reservations arranged and logistics organized, she helped to get reservations for a fully-booked restaurant at the last minute, etc. When at the end of the trip I requested a balance to weigh our luggage for the trip home, they of course had one immediately available; they literally fulfilled every request we made of them. The grounds are beautiful, quiet, and lovingly maintained. The hotel is situated just on the outskirts of town (10-15min walk to central Urgup), but the walk seemed very safe and pleasant (though decidedly uphill on the return trip) even after dark. Nitpicking anything for improvement is difficult, but no place is perfect. Additional bathroom amenities like conditioner, toothbrushes, etc. could have been provided (though they very well may have provided them immediately on request). Perhaps because of the structure of the cave rooms, the internet (free and included) was good in certain rooms but borderline non-functional in others. At best it was still a bit spotty for voice and video Skype calling. I have done a fair bit of traveling and staying in Cappadocia at Esbelli Evi was a truly memorable experience. The fact that the hotel remains a small “boutique” operation meant that we felt that we had immediate personal attention to our questions and needs whenever we requested it and were never made to feel as if they were too busy. I can’t imagine wanting to stay anywhere else on a return visit, as long as the owners continue to run Esbelli Evi with this level of attention-to-detail and personal service.

If all hotels in the world met the standards set by Esbelli Evi then there would not be a need for Trip Advisor! The standard of accommodation is extremely high with all rooms are delightfully decorated. We stayed in one of the suites that provides a full kitchen. They even provide large cakes of soap and not the small pieces that get lost in various parts of the body. The staff are very helpful and will make bookings at restaurants and for other activities that you may undertake whilst in the area. Good quality breakfasts are included and can be eaten on the delightful terrace.

Room Tip: All rooms are as they appear on their web page. The photo's have not been "touched up"...

This is what a hotel should be, anywhere in the world. It is elegant in a simple, rustic setting. The owner has cobbled together former small houses. Now many rooms have their own patio or courtyard. Our room was very clean, comfortable, understated, and well lit. Breakfast was included, with multiple options and very tasty. The staff is quiet, helpful, and speaks excellent English.

Want to have your every wish granted? This is the hotel for that. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are so over the top that they are hard to describe in words. Our room had one bathroom carved totally into the hillside. You went down a corridor, around a bend and voila...bathing in your own world. The bed was the most comfortable on our trip and the view from the breakfast veranda is to die for. Ah, speaking of breakfast, this was the most complete spread laid out for us anywhere on our trip. We had to leave early on our last day and lo and behold...they had set out a complete selection rather than the coffee and a roll we would have expected. If you want to have a 'feel' of the region where people have lived in caves for thousands of years, and in elegance to boot, do stay at this hotel.

I have to agree with everything everybody is saying. Not only that, Tarik gave us great maps and tips for our self-guided trip (we rented a car). We followed his advice to the t, and had a wonderful experience. The hospitality and comfort was truly amazing, every need was anticipated. When there were going to be some public works construction outside of our room during the morning hours, we were offered to move to another suite. We declined the kind offer, and were given a discount at check-out nonetheless. Truly a home away from home. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We stayed at the colorband suite. Two bathrooms, a lounge area, a little kitchenette, and a nice pri...

I have now stayed at Evi Esbelli in 2012 and 2013 and on both occasions I could not have asked for a better place to stay in the Cappadocia region.

Don't be alarmed as you drive up the road and see construction underway. Behind the doors of this small hotel is a beautiful oasis which will quickly feel like home.

I love the beautiful simplicity of the decor, the warm and helpful staff and the spacious unique suites. I highly recommend this as your base when visiting Cappadocia. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Every room is unique but some involve more steps than others so check with the staff before booking...
