We had an excellent stay in Asia Minor Hotel. The manager Jean is very hospitable. The place is cozy and personnel are very warm. Since its our first time to stay in a Cave Hotel, we were so excited. The services are just fantastic and every bit of our stay is really wonderful. If given the chance to go back to Cappadocia, I would choose Asia Minor Hotel as our hotel of choice. God bless and more power.

Ok, I'm not a hotel expert. I tend to prefer practicality and low price. But I have stayed in at least a couple of hundred hotels in my life and this may be the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. It's a small establishment - just a half-dozen or so rooms. But they treat you like royalty. The property is compact, but lovely - like a manor house. The owner personally greets each of his guests with great formality and the younger staff all do their jobs with flair. The breakfast was typical Turkish, but with good, heavy wheat bread and juice or coffee or tea. The wifi was free and reasonably fast, even in the room. The town center is only a 5-minute walk away. I was blown away by the room (I was part of a tour and expected a no-frills establishment). First was the grand double staircase, then the public sitting room, then my room - all seemingly to myself. My room was warmly decorated in natural stones, dark woods, and turkish rugs. But the bathroom was all 1st class modern glass and tile. I would kill for that bathroom in my own house. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Cappadocia region for any length of time.
"The nicest hotel for the nicest guest" :-)
Thank you so much Dear Guest from Minneapolis, for your very positive comments that made us so happy.
Of course, it is always an honour for me to welcome and greet personnaly each of our guests
and my staff always does its best to make everyone feel like at home.

We loved every minute of our stay at Asia Minor Hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated like welcome friends. The manager had our itinerary ready from our travel agency, sat with us to answer questions about the area and activities, recommended restaurants, and was generally very knowledgeable about the area. Our room was beautiful, breakfast was amazing, and the city was great to walk around in. The only downside to Asia Minor is that it isn't close to the major attractions, but this was also a blessing, because the sites around the hotel weren't as busy as the tourist centers.
Everything is great about this hotel: location, interior, perfect cleanness, helpful staff.
The only thing to improve a little is probably breakfast. We were out of season and they gave us a good discount. The rooms are of a very exquisite style, with huge glass doors between the room and the toilet. Looks shocking at first :) but finally I liked it.
We stayed in the Asia Minor hotel for two nights as a group of five as part of a tour package booked as a double and triple. I was delighted to find that the triple room, instead of being a double room with an extra bed made up, was a suite with two bedrooms (double and two twins). The manager, Mr Meyer, is fantastic, a very personable manager who made us feel so welcome. His warm personality was a highlight of our stay. The night manager is also very good, helping us take care of our bags when we checked out in the evening to catch our transfer.
Arriving very early in the morning, Mr Meyer welcomed us and told us that our breakfast was ready. I did not expect this as in most hotels I stay at, breakfast on the day of your arrival is not included. We had booked a hot air balloon ride the following morning and in the evening, upon return from our day's tour, Mr Meyer welcomed us again, asked if we would care for some tea, asked if we were to be hot air ballooning the following morning, told us the wake up time and asked if we would like a wake up call for the hot air balloons and gave us a brief run down of what to expect in terms of logistics for the ride (including, that we would have a light breakfast there, but upon our return our real breakfast would be waiting for us at Asia Minor). We had left our bags in the common room on our arrival at Asia Minor and they had been installed in our rooms by the time we arrived back from the day's tour.
The rooms are comfortably decorated. The hot water works with good shower pressure. There are three wifi hotspots for the hotel; connect to the one that is strongest in your room. The hotel is lovely, located an easy walk from the "main street" of Urgup.
We had a wonderful time at Asia Minor and were sorry to leave.
