“The hotel needs to be higher in the charts”
Reviewed 6 July 2012

The hotel needs to be higher in the charts! what gives? Staff and rooms were the best ever plus you get to stay in a two thousand year old cave with all the modern amenities. Good thing the owners did not put any TVs inside the rooms which in any case will just spit out channels in Turkish or maybe CNN or BBC. Rooms are provided with CD players but I wish they just installed speakers for the Ipod instead.
Guests are forced to relax and go absorb the surroundings. I really love love love the bed!!!! Included in the property is an Ottoman mansion as well which serves as your connection to the modern world like TV and internet. I also love the breakfast spread they had everyday.

We stayed in a cave suite in June 2012. Very impressive, one of a kind. Would love to visit again.

The Yunak Evleri, a cave hotel, is an excellent place to stay when visiting Cappadocia. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was cut out of the rock face and featured antique furniture, the bathroom was large and very clean and attractive & we had a balcony patio overlooking the hotel and wider view. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and tasty.
Others in our group had larger rooms with a sitting room & some had more modern rooms not built into the hill side. Each room was personalised and unique.
At any time you could see a staff person awaiting the opportunity to assist you, or just to smile and say Hello. A Highly Recommended hotel.

Room Tip: All different and all unique so all good rooms

This cave hotel is very impressive. It's impeccably clean; the decor is understated and elegant; the breakfast was lovely and plentiful; the bathroom is large, with two showers, one with multiple shower heads and a whirlpool bath. There is an honour bar. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the Manager, Abdullah Inal. He arranged our balloon ride with Royal Balloon and a 6 hour tour of the area with a very knowledgeable tour guide. These arrangements were 'top notch'. I will definitely be back and wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Room Tip: Pay the extra and request a deluxe room - it was really lovely.

My boyfriend and I had booked this cave hotel on the recommendation of another couple who had stayed there while visiting Cappadocia. It didn't take much for us to be convinced once we saw pictures and read many positive reviews.

I would recommend asking for airport pick up as the ride is almost an hour to the hotel (and price very reasonable).

My boyfriend and I were shock to receive such welcoming hospitality and also received a complimentary upgrade to a Jacuzzi Suite. When we booked on line, we also had complimentary breakfast buffet included. We were in complete amazement as they showed us the facilities and then to our room. The hotel was impressive and even better than any picture.

Right down from the exceptional service, the comfortable bed, the jacuzzi, the ambience of our room (dark, cool, and lit candles at night), our view outside of the room, location, the breakfast buffet and the staff and management who spoke excellent English (we were starting to get frustrated by previous hotels with no english speaking staff). Each staff and management of this hotel were genuinely wanting to ensure you had the best experience in Cappadocia, so anything you wanted, needed to know...you got it. Right from the honest opinions of tours and cost of things.

The location is perfect, a few minute walk down you will find delightful restaurants and city centre where you can get your fill of cheap and delicious Turkish delights.

We did indeed do the hot air balloon ride (a must do) and a day tour. The manager who we set up these tours with was excellent and honest (clearly not interested in how much money he could suck out of us, but to ensure we were getting the best options for our money for the time we had) - in many other hotels, they are more interested in taking as much money from you and not caring about anything else. This isn't the case here at Yunak.

We stayed 3 nights here. Everyday was a beautiful way to wake up to. We didn't want to leave. It was our favourite and most memorable experience in Turkey. There are other cave hotels in the area, but when we saw them, they didn't look anywhere as clean and nice as the Yunak.

Overall, I would highly recommend a stay here at the Yunak. We are back home in Canada and can't stop talking about it to our friends, we even said, we would've paid more...it was that great of an experience.

Thank you again to the staff - we had a wonderful stay.

Vanessa & Abdeen - Canada

Room Tip: For the few extra dollars to get the Jacuzzi Suite..I would pay for it, especially if you are a coup...

We stayed at this hotel while exploring the unique sights of Cappadocia. The room was a cave and although very clean and tidy was quite small with not much room for cases and clothes storage. There were other rooms with much more space. The breakfasts were simple but plentiful and the meals in general, which were set menus, were very good and had a homecooked appeal. The walk down to the town centre is 5 or 10 minutes but the walk back is longer as it is all uphill. The rooftop area was great for evening drinks with a good view over the unusual landscape of Cappadocia. The staff were good and made the stay very pleasant.

Room Tip: Ask for a large room if possible

For over a year, my girlfriend and I had been dreaming about going to Cappadocia and staying at that particular hotel. Our high expectations were amply exceeded. The setting of the hotel, excavated into a crescent-shaped hill, is stunning. Rooms are large and well equipped. Although not very luminous, they have a terrace with chairs from which to enjoy the amazing views of the region. Above all, service was not only impeccable but also exceptionally warm and friendly. Hotel manager Abdullah was extremely helpful arranging tours and hotel reservations for us and all other clients. We very much enjoyed meeting him and the rest of the staff.
Very highly recommended. We can't wait to be back. Next time, we'll bring our families!

Within the stone building, cozy meeting rooms provide a soothing atmosphere for lounging in the evening. Alongside a room with computer and wireless Internet connection, the music room has a wide variety of CDs you can borrow and the TV room is decked out in plush Turkish cushions with a view of the surrounding cliffs.
