Two nights were spent here recently in a cave room. On arrival, the staff were so friendly and accommodating and ensured we had a room to our liking. Large rooms, darkish but what else would you expect in a cave.
Breakfast and dinner in the outdoor rooftop restaurant were magical.

Loved staying in this authentic cave hotel. The interior design and furnishings were extremely well done. The staff was extremely professional and 5 star atmosphere. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

My fiancee and I have stayed at many hotels around the world, but the hospitality in this one exceeded our expectations and was better than anywhere else we have been. In addition, this is the most unique cave hotel in the area. We walked around a lot, and this one seemed to have the most in-cave rooms, comparing to other hotels.
First of all, upon our arrival, 3 hotel staff greeted us. They actually were waiting for us, standing outside - we felt like kings :D We arrived at 10 AM, they immediately offered for us to have breakfast (which would not be normally included on the day of the arrival), before we would even check-in. After a beautiful breakfast surrounded by caves, with a relaxing music coming from a music room, we checked-in.
The staff immediately learned my fiancee's name and only referred to him by name from then on. They gave us a tour around the hotel and amenity rooms, and arranged for our luggage to be brought up for us.
To our surprise, they kindly offered us a free upgrade to a suite room, for the whole duration of our stay (5 days). Initially, we have requested the nicest looking room from the pictures, which was room #102. But upon checking out the suite room, we were excited to accept such a generous offer. We had complete privacy, our suite room (#111) was on the top floor, had a jacuzzi, a sitting room and very romantic bedroom carved out of volcanic rock, with carved-in wardrobe and candles ready for lighting up... Just like in the movies..
We did not eat our dinners at the hotel, their menu was quite limited and overpriced. There were so many options to choose from in the surrounding area of the hotel, that we had delicious dinners at a different restaurant every night.
Every time we would pass a staff member of the hotel, they would greet us with a courteous smile and a warm greeting. They arranged a private Cappadocia tour for us upon request, called for a taxi, offered free shuttle service to and from the Nevsehir airport, arranged room service, gave their recommendations on what to visit and more.
We were very, very satisfied with the stay.
Highly recommended to all who are looking for a romantic, beautiful place to spend time with their loved ones, surrounded by amazing scenery, breathe the history, and be spoiled with the most excellent service.

We recently stayed at the Yunak Evleri for 5 nights during our trip to Turkey and had a wonderful experience ! The hotel is located on a hillside in Urgup , Cappadocia and has a beautiful view over the town- espcecially from the breakfast & dining area .
Our cave room was just great & although having all the modern comforts & amenities gave us a wonderful experience of actually living in a 2000 yr old cave !
The staff was very helpful & the breakfast very sumptuous !
Would love to visit again in some time !

Room Tip: The cave rooms do not have A/C - so try to get one with a window.

We stayed two nights at the Yunak Evleri Cave Hotel and had a wonderful experience! Upon arriving, the reception greeted us with a glass of wine or juice. Our suite was tastefully decorated in typical Turkish style with a comfortable bed and bedding. We had a separate sitting area with a window. The floors are done in marble tile and the doors are of heavy dark stained wood with antique hardware. We had one large closet which was ample to store our luggage and clothes. We had our own open-air patio with chairs, a minibar, robes & slippers. There were numerous steps to reach our cave, but the view was worth the hike! There is no air conditioning, but we stayed comfortable even though it was very warm in August. Wi-fi was available, but there are no TV's. There are a couple of good restaurants within a 7-10 min walk. A buffet breakfast is included and served in an open-air terrace near the reception. The staff sets out smoking pots upon request to help keep the bees away while dining, but they were not always effective. There is a mosque a short distance from the hotel, so the "call to prayer" was heard very early in the morning, although we were bothered more by a barking dog nearby. I suggest closing the window if you want to sleep-in, but why would you when there is so much to see and do in Cappadocia!

Room Tip: The higher the room the more beautiful the view, but there are a lot of steps to climb!

We were 2 couples who stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Our pick - up was seamless at mid-night from the Kayseri airport by the hotel shuttle. We were happy to be upgraded to a cave suite upon arrival.

The cave rooms had comfortable in-room amenities including an iPod dock. But the unfortunate part was that in our room , the stoney grit from the cave ceiling was constantly falling due to which our suitcases, bags, camera, etc lying on the mantle would get covered with white grit within minutes of dusting it off. Even our bed would get covered with the grit and by the morning we would be waking up on a plush bed of grit which was a dirty feeling. The next morning we complained about the same. The manager on duty said she would look into the issue but nothing was done. The hotel didn't seem to be fully occupied. The least that could have been done to give us a good night's rest was to have our room changed.

Our friends in the other suite were also a but uncomfortable due to lack of ventilation. They requested for a fan in their room. Since it was late at night, the staff on duty was ignorant and not responsive to this demand. But upon getting a bit angry , he managed to find 2 fans for their bedroom.

The hotel's concierge service is also not up to the mark and do not give much information on how we can go about checking out the underground city , walking tour, etc.

The bees at breakfast are also a menace. The breakfast is spread in a chamber below the open air terrace - which feels far to take a re-fill but I guess thats because of the bees.

Room Tip: Room 122 has the grit falling from the ceiling

My wife and I recently stayed at the Yunak for a few nights. Everything was top notch, from the rooms, to the breakfast, service and recommendations they gave us for dinners. AND THAT VIEW!!!! OMG!!! You should definitely stay at the Yunak when in Cappadocia.

Within the stone building, cozy meeting rooms provide a soothing atmosphere for lounging in the evening. Alongside a room with computer and wireless Internet connection, the music room has a wide variety of CDs you can borrow and the TV room is decked out in plush Turkish cushions with a view of the surrounding cliffs. There is a DVD room on the second floor decorated with local handmade pottery accessories, candles, and a lovely furnace.
