This cave hotel is a beautifully kept property. The grounds, rooms, and dining room are kept exceptionally clean and neat. The house keeping staff is to be commended for their friendliness and willing to help. Breakfast buffet was excellent. This hotel is not handicapped accessible and travelers with knee or hip problems may have to ask for rooms without many stairs. The rooms are great and stay cool in the summer months. Be careful of the marble walkways and stairs during a rain storm. Beautiful views from the upper rooms. Balloon tours can be arranged from this hotel as well.

Room Tip: Rooms that are higher up have the better views of the valley. However if you have a hard time doing...

This was truly a unique experience. It is a picturesque cave hotel with about 40 rooms. The suite that we stayed in room 118 was beautiful. The views from the room and the front sit out area were magical. Well worth the climb up to the room. The living room was large and so was the bedroom. The bathroom was a symphony in white veined marble.

The first night we ate dinner at the hotel restaurant with a roaring fire in the fireplace. A lovely place but it took them close to two hours to bring us our food and send us on our way.The cuisine was quasi European with very few vegetables. It was an off putting experience but luckily there are very nice places to eat nearby in Urgup, a short walk away.

Breakfast was served on a terrace with a lovely view of the Cappadocian countryside. Breakfast was generally pretty good though do brush up on your waitressing skills since you have to transport breakfast on a tray from a lower level up to the terrace and you have to keep going back down to get a fresh cup of coffee. The servers were a little lackadaisical about this chore.

The rooms are very well appointed but they were unable to transfer a call from the US to our room. When we told them at the reception that they had messed up our call the man who runs the show there shrugged it off with 'It was a small mistake' Well Mr. Hotelier that is for me to say as a guest and not for you to minimize the issue!!!

It is a lovely hotel but the staff needs to move past their 'boutique' hotel 'halo'. Our Suite had three levels and we had to constantly watch our step navigating the rooms and I did trip and fall while stepping up to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Luckily I got away with just a sprained wrist!

Room Tip: Every room is a good room though buy your water in the village since the hotel charges 3TL for each...

Truly unique setting; suites carved into the face of a steep rock formation following the outline of thousand + year old dwellings.
Extremely good taste in appointing the apartments and baths.
A visitor gets the sense of having gone back through time andcan more fully appreciate the surroundings of the Cappadocia area.

Room Tip: All exit to terraces and views.

Cappadocia, Turkey. Famous for cave dwellings, hot air balloon rides, and cave HOTELS! This accommodation seemed so appropriate for our visit to the area. We stayed here for 2 nights and thought it was ideal to top off our Cappadocia experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff friendly & helpful, and from the moment we walked in & were offered a welcome glass of wine, we felt like we'd arrived!

The entire country of Turkey is not user-friendly if you have physical limitations - by the time we arrived at Urgup & the Yunak Evleri cave hotel, we were expecting stairs. We were not disappointed! 2 steep flights to access our room - thank goodness we had help with our luggage!

However, that's the only "negative" thing about this hotel. And in all honesty, it's a CAVE hotel. Where would you put an elevator?

The rooms are cosy & modern, albeit a little dark. But again, that's to be expected - you are, after all, in a CAVE. Morning breakfast is delightful and not missing a thing. Fruit, cereals, cheeses, meat, eggs.... whatever you could possibly ask for. The staff was helpful & friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cave!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or suggest this hotel to anyone in the Cappadocia area!

you must stay at a cave hotel if you go to the region of Cappadocia and this hotel has it all. Great view from your balcony, great view from the rooftop restaurant. The breakfast is fullsome with lots of healthy choices.

the room we were in (room 101) had a couple of steps down from the bedroom to the main floor where the bathroom was. if you have to get up in the middle of the night for the bathroom, we found these steps to be problematic and as a result had to leave a light on.

the mattress in the room we were in was as hard as a rock and we found ourselves sore in the morning.

Room Tip: i would not recommend room 101 due to the steps to navigate from bed to toilet. you cannot do it in...

Two nights were spent here recently in a cave room. On arrival, the staff were so friendly and accommodating and ensured we had a room to our liking. Large rooms, darkish but what else would you expect in a cave.
Breakfast and dinner in the outdoor rooftop restaurant were magical.
