We had a very relaxing stay, the staff and management were all very helpful. The cave was very clean with a polished wooden floor and the Marble bathroom very stylish. The alfresco dining on the terrace overlooking Urgup was a great way to start and finnish the day, the breakfast was particularly good with an amazing spread. All in all a superb cave hotel and good value for money. Highly recommended.

the hotel was cozy, weird (in a good way) and the staff was really friendly
the rooms are spacious and clean.
there is no TV or Internet in the rooms but you won't need it. if you have been travelling for a while, you'd want to relax and sleep when you get to the hotel because the tours in cappadocia can be exhausting.
there is a "semi-business center" in the common building. they have two laptops with internet connection. they also two small entertainment rooms, one for listening to music and one for watching movies.
the rooms are beautiful and cozy however (the rooms are in a real cave) so sometimes you will find some small dirt falling from the ceiling into the bathroom sink or on the corners of the room (that is normal... comes with the territory!!)
the one thing that can get annoying is that since this is a cave.... no real ventilation in the bathrooms.. it can get a bit smelly. but the bathrooms are all modern and clean and the water pressure is excellent.
Location: the location of this hotel is awesome... less than a 10 minute walk to the city center where you'll find small bazaar like shops and excellent restaurant. it is also close to the observation "hill thing" it's an open area with tables on top of a hill to get a panoramic view of the city.

We could not fault anything. All the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was a true cave hotel. Our bedroom was deep into a cave - a bit unusual at first, but so quiet that I have not slept so well for ages! An excellent position in the town, meant that it was an easy downhill walk to the centre and (if you were lazy) a 5 lire taxi ride back (less than £2). We walked to some excellent restaurants in town - Somine, Han Ciragan and Ziggy's were our favourites. Urgup is very central for touring the area, so if you are going to visit Cappadocia, then the Yunak Evleri hotel is a must. Thank you everyone for a very enjoyable stay.

After spending a few days visiting hectic and busy Istanbul, our family arrived at this wonderfully peaceful and quiet refuge in the heart of Cappadocia. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with refreshments and then shown our delightful rooms. The three kids stayed together in a cozy and comfortable room, us parents in a roomy, well-proportioned suite, either one spotless clean. From our decks we enjoyed a terrific view of the surrounding hills.
The hotel served us a generous breakfast on the rooftop restaurant just a few steps away. One night we had a romantic dinner at the same restaurant, savoring the local cuisine and the setting while dining al fresco.
The staff was very friendly and eager to accommodate our family's needs. Thank you especially to Abdullah, who was most helpful and competent. Definitely a place we'll remember and a highlight on our trip.

My mother and I stayed here in mid-July of this year and were blown away by the elegance of the hotel and the service. All of this for a very reasonable price. The hotel itself is one of the most charming "cave hotels" in the area. And the service is impeccable. The manager, Abdullah, and other staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs - including my mother's limited mobility. For travelers to Cappadocia (which is a must-see in Turkey), this is the must-stay hotel.

This hotel is an exceptionally well priced gem in Cappadocia. It is worth every cent! It's composed of mostly cave rooms carved into the cliff face and a couple of stone buildings that blend into the landscape flawlessly. Our room, #118, was a cave room that was spacious, clean and apropriately furnished with simple, dark wood furniture, a comfortable and large bed (even for someone 6'6" tall) and had a spacious bathroom with a roomy shower. Our room had a lovely little porch from which we could enjoy the amazing sunsets, crazy lightning storms or the ice cold beverages that the hotel provided in the main building for a reasonalbe cost. The staff was excptionally friendly and informative! The even greeted us on our arrival with an ice cold beverage as they checked us into our accomodation. The restaurant on the premises served a delicious pri-fix meal nightly and the breakfast's were fresh and tasty. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance (5 min) to the center of town (Urgurp), many great restaurants and a short driving distance from Goreme and other points of interest.

Accommodations range from exotic luxury caves to multi-chamber deluxe suites, including family suites. One can find the signs of past times in each room which all have been decorated differently. The elegant decor is prominent wherever you lay your eyes on.Emperador marble floors, handcrafted lace curtains, antique chests and bedside tables, traditional bed covers, old brass bedsteads, old handcrafted writing desks , old kilim carpets and antique lighting have been chosen with care and with simplicity in mind. At the foot of the cliff stands the hotel's main lobby. Housed in a 19th century Greek mansion, the main building exudes a kind of sophisticated charm. Within the stone building, cozy meeting rooms provide a soothing atmosphere for lounging in the evening. Alongside a room with computer and wireless Internet connection, the music room has a wide variety of CDs you can borrow and the TV room is decked out in plush Turkish cushions with a view of the surrounding cliffs. There is a DVD room on the second floor decorated with local handmade pottery accessories, candles, and a lovely furnace. Evenings are characterized by sunset gatherings on soft upholstered Turkish pillows warmed by an outdoor fireplace. Candlelight dining is offered on the adjacent rooftop terrace. We serve local homemade foods for dinner and an open-buffet breakfast.
