Full-Day Cappadocia Tour with Lunch, from Goreme
Ranked #2 of 37 things to do in Urgup

If you're doing a Goreme tour, you may have had your fill of fairy chimneys - but this stop is special. The rock formations are spectacular and make for great photo opps. We even got the camels to smile : ) You can pick up some nice souvenirs too.

I mean...just check out those pictures! This is some gorgeous scenery! Had a blast wandering around here. It's definitely touristy (camels for hire, ice cream vendors, etc.) but if you get lucky and time a visit between the tour buses, you'll get some great photo ops.

This is the reason one visits Cappadocia. Simply fantastic out-of-this-world kind of place that we should at least see once in our lifetimes. Great for photography when the sun is out with blue skies but the winter scenes here with snow look great too. Bus-loads come here but there is plenty of space for everyone to wander around unless you choose to join the crowds at the little caves or carved-out rooms. There are shops; we paid a lira each to use the toilet at a shop across the road.
