We were there for 3 nights in early January. We enjoyed very bit of the stay. Off all things, the hospitality of the staff comes to the forefront. Staying in rooms which are the actual restored caves is an amazing feeling. I'll highly recommend Kayakapi for people visiting Cappadocia.

I have been at Kayakapi for 2 days with my family early jan/14. Kayakapi infrastructure is fantastic, service is excellent. Experience is outstanding. Ms Elvan (guest relations) gave us an differentiated support helping with hot balloon ride and a tour guide. I recommend this experience. Don't mis it!

They pay great attention to detail. They made sure that our stay was memorable - we stayed here 2 nights and felt that we should have stayed an additional night to just experience the hospitality. The view from the hotel is amazing. Our hot air balloon ride didn't arrive on time and the receptionist helped us figure out the issue.

I would highly recommend this place. Elvan Kismet is very sweet and personable!

Room Tip: Experience the cave room! we stayed in 111 suite and loved it

Amazing project supported by UNESCO come true! Restored caves that were inhabited for centuries (and abandoned) transformed into a premium service all luxury hotel.
Exquisite taste with traditional Turkish decoration and furnishing. Large suites with separate living rooms, bedrooms, huge bathrooms with hot tubes and Hammam (Turkish bath). Some even include inside private pools.
The view from the top of a hill surrounding Urgüp Valley in Cappadocia is 20 to 30 minutes away on car, from all other main towns & attractions in the area.
The prize is worth the value, already one of the best new hotels (half a year old) will surely become one of the best leisure, romantic or family hotels in the world! Currently finished 29 suites of the 200 rooms facility they will finish over the next few years.

The place is excellent and well managed . The views are great because of its location high up above Urgup. What sets this place apart are the helpful and friendly staff , particularly Elvan Kismet who helped us in organising our day trips and activities. Its a little far from town but the complementary shuttle offered by the property to town is helpful . Cabs are also easily available from the town to the hotel.

The hotel room was incredibly large and spacious. I have never stayed in such a large room before. My room had an outdoor balcony, indoor balcony with fireplace, lounge room, bathroom and a very large bedroom with a bath. The floor had heating. I have to say that the room was in impeccable condition and everything about the room was almost perfect. There was a plate of fruit albeit some were passed their expiry date, a couple of welcome chocolates neatly laid out on top of a personalised welcome letter from the owner, and a complementary bottle of 1.5 litre water. The wardrobe had bathrobes and slippers, and in the bathroom there was a cute collection of olive oil toiletries.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and the view of Cappadocia was fantastic from my balcony.

The only reason why I gave this 4 stars overall and not 5 was because of the difficulty I had with dragging my luggage up the steep hill to get to the reception to check out. I had to do this twice as I stayed on two separate days. It would have been nice to have the hotel offer a baggage pickup service from the room. Dragging the luggage up the slope and down the stairs was hard for me. And I hurt my wrist on the first day because of it. I asked for a ground floor room but was given an upgrade to a larger room which was on the second floor so taking my luggage down the stairs and up the slope was not good. Also you can't adjust the heating in the room itself so it got a little hot sometimes. I think it's controlled at reception. I like to have control of the temperature in my room.

There needs to be an easier way for clients to get their luggage to the reception otherwise its very hard if you are physically unable to do it.

Otherwise everything else was perfect.

Dear Sharon,

First of all I would like to thank you for your choosing us and for your nice words about my staff and hotel. It was a pleasure for us welcoming you and hope to be your host again in near future.

However I also would like to explain the misunderstandings happened during your stay for the aim of informing you and our possible future guests in more details. As we understood through your e-mails that reached us before your arrival stating that you want a room with following features:

(These are your words)
“The requests I have is (at no extra cost):
- Larger room and larger bed if possible;
- Room with minimal noise.
- Room with view if possible.”

We gladly upgraded your room (free) to a suite for free which fulfills the above requests of you. And once you were checking out on your 1st night we asked if you are satisfied with the current room for your next arrival, after one overnight at another hotel, or if we should change your room for your next one night with us. However after we explain that room (#112) seems the most suitable suite for your needs you confirmed the room again and that is the reason we gladly upgraded you for free to the same suite.

As you know it is a bit hard to be on the ground floor with a view even if your location is so high as being Kayakapi. We wish to know that you would be better to stay on a more ground floor with less view so that we could change your room to another one.

Also another misunderstanding is about your suggestion about bellboy service. We even carry our guests if they demand us even to drive them to their rooms and our bellboy is always ready at the reception 24 hours to carry your luggages as well. To be more accurate our guests are calling reception once they are packed and we directly send the staff into their rooms. Until today at our hotel the process is working in the same way with our guests as any hotels in the world.

So for your next stay we wish you get contact us during your stay for your special requests or needs as how you kept in touch us for emails before you arrive.

Thanks again for your nice visit to our unique property.

Yours;
