We stayed for three nights at this great cave hotel in Urgup (Capadoccia), where we were greeted upon arrival by Mustafa who has to be one of the kindest and most helpful hotel managers I have met. Our room was very comfortable with a raised double bed, good air conditioning, and plenty of space. Staying in Urgup was quieter than Goreme would have been for which we were thankful when we were tired and hot. Breakfast (included) was a classic Turkish buffet, with eggs made to order--very good and accompanied by tea and Turkish coffee. The hotel is on the edge of the town, uphill from the center, with a couple of restaurants nearby (one up, one down from the hotel) but plenty of others down the hill. A nice center of town to sit and people watch as well.

We had the chance to talk with Mustafa several different times. He was not only friendly and curious about us, but also interested in sharing thoughts on his country as well which made for informative and engaging discussions. He also helped us with our arrangements--booking a hot air balloon trip for us with Istanbul Balloons (highly recommended!)--but also with our next plans. We were driving east from Urgup toward Mt. Nemrut and he contacted people he knew in the tourist industry to confirm our directions and future lodgings. He couldn't have been more generous with his time and assistance.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The ambiance of the cave hotel concept, the amenities and comfort of this hotel, but above all, the conviviality of our host all made it a place worth reviewing.

Our travel agent booked this hotel for us as part of a tour package. We were pleasantly surprised that we were given a suite with twin beds and a double bed for only two of us. The room built into a cave was air conditioned and comfortable. Wifi unfortunately was weak and often unavailable in the room and we had to go to public areas for access. Staff were very friendly and very nice, helping to carry all our baggage on checkin and checkout. Wake up calls were right on time even for 3:30 am calls for our hot air balloon flight and travel to airport. The hotel is a short downhill walk to shops and restaurents in the town area. Overall, we find our two night stay comfortable and pleasant. Would recommend staying at the hotel.

Unusual for us, this hotel was booked via a travel agent (with whom we booked three days of tours). Normally we use TripAdvisor to find our accommodation.

Firstly the staff were excellent. We arrived after a 21 hour day, having woken in Istanbul at 4am, flown to Izmir to experience Ephusus and then a (delayed) flight to Cappadocia finally arriving at the hotel after 11pm to discover no food available. We were hot, hungry and tired. Fortunately a couple of hotel staff members arranged to send out for a couple of hamburgers (basically all that was available). It was that or walking into town at 11.30 pm (10 minutes downhill but 20 uphill after dining). Finally entering our room at midnight to discover the old double bed was missing a leg and in a stuffy room with bedding from the last century my amenable self was weakening. Fortunately we had scored a two room apartment and opted for the twin beds (in the room with air conditioning) after stripping out the double quilts (eiderdowns, duvet, yorgan) that had been stuffed into single covers. Pillows too could do with an update.

Needless to say, having managed 6 hours sleep, we woke in better spirits and appreciated some of the good points of the hotel. History, STAFF, ambience. Breakfast was interesting - large array of food eg many cheeses, Turkish fare, honeycomb, etc and the waiters/cooks lovely.

We arrived back from another day of touring, again hot, sweaty and were having fantasies of jumping in swimming pools. In passing we mentioned this to a staff member who volunteered that, complimentary, we could be transported to a co-owned hotel where they had a pool! Being very tired and knowing we were waking the following day for pickup at 4am for hot air ballooning we let this fantasy slide but if YOU have time it could be a great offer to accept.

A couple of points - 'Ziggy's' restaurant is a hop, step and jump from the hotel and is nice terrace style eating. Otherwise it's down into town (and back UP after;)

Hot air ballooning is FABULOUS, highly recommended and worth the 3.30 am rise.

Finally, thank you to the staff for much help in sorting some travel matters that required 'Turkish' language.

Haha, apologies yet again for my long, personal review but, as with all reviews, if this helps guide you or management in the right direction feel free to reward the reviewer with a 'helpful vote'.

The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was large and well equipped and suitably cave like. There are good public areas in the hotel if the cave feeling gets too much. The food was fine. There was a degree of road noise even inside our cave.

My friend and I wanted to stay at a cave hotel after seeing another friend's photo and expressed our wish to the travel agency. They booked us at Yusuf Yigitoglu. We didn't know what to expect but were very excited to try. When we arrived Mr. Mustafa greeted us and showed us to our room, which was very cute and comfortable. He made sure that we had a very pleasant stay and accomodated our requests to the best of his ability. The rest of the staff was also very friendly.
I would definitely stay here again if I were to go back to Capadoccia.

This hotel is built into the old caves. You can ask for the degree of 'caveness' when you book. My room was built on to the bathroom cave, but some other rooms are all caves. Although small, my room had all creature comforts. I was glad I wasn't sharing it however. The food was nice, not stunning, but served by a lovely waiter who recommended good wine from the region. The wifi was good too, although it didn't work in some of the caves. We sat outside in the very pleasant courtyard a lot!

Friends of ours who had travelled to Cappadocia had told us to make sure we stayed in a 'cave hotel'. Although we had checked out photos on-line in advance of our stay, we weren't really prepared for the delightfully unusual experience. Our room was well-appointed with a much better bathroom than one might have expected...especially in a cave! I didn't envy the staff who insisted on carrying our bags up several flights of steps and then down into our room. But then we found the staff helpful in every way--even to the point of ironing our clothes for us (for which they wouldn't take a lira). We enjoyed our two nights there very much, and found the location to be convenient for visiting Goreme and other sites in Cappadocia.

Room Tip: If you want a 'view' then you need to ask for a room with an outward aspect. Our room had a...
