This place is amazing. Best cave room experience, was afraid of being claustrophobic but the cave room size is pretty standard, with amazing bathrooms and private jacuzzi. The staff is helpful and the courtyard is pretty amazing in the evening. It is conveniently situated near the Urgup bus station, and few minutes walk to restaurants and shops.

My second stay at the Cappadocia Palace, for 4 days this time. It is the best location in Cappadocia, a few steps from the town square in Urgup. Best is the extraordinary, friendly and helpful staff, including Yusuf the day manager, staff members Yasin and Bekir, the maid, and the young lady that prepares the very good and plentiful breakfast.

Before I had even parked my auto, Yusuf had already taken my bags into the Hotel and had come back to help me. When I was leaving Yusuf carried may bag to my auto in the rain and then ran back again to give me something that the maid found I had forgotten in my room.

Standard rooms are small but adequate and have all the necessities including travertine tiled bathrooms with showers, but you cannot beat the price. The cave rooms are much larger and more luxurious.

spent 2 nights in Cappadoca Palce. I was travelling alone so was in a small but adequate room. There were cave rooms off a beautiful courtyard that looked really nice. The staff were lovely especially Bekin who seemed to be there all of the time (you really do need to rest) and Gul who looked after the great breakfast in their very cosy dining room. I arrived there very tired from a long and tiring weeks travelling. This was the perfect place to rest and recharge. A visit to the Hamam in the centre of town cured all my ills. The hamam is right beside the Mosque so you cant miss it. Its a must for weary travellers. Would highly reccomend Cappadocia Palace

We spent 4 nights at Cappadocia Palace Hotel in the deluxe cave rooms. Apart from the faulty faucet the hand held shower was attached to, the room was stunning, very clean and spacious. Especially enjoyed the little sitting area outside the room, where you can relax and have a glass of wine after a fantastic day of sightseeing.
It is perfectly situated in the centre of Urgup, close to all amenities.
The buffet breakfast was excellent, even included turkish delight!
Yusuf is an absolute gem (a mine of information and very well spoken) and he is ably assisted by Bekir. Thank you guys, you contributed to our holiday being fantastic!

We were booked into this hotel by a travel agent in Istanbul who provided an entire tour of Cappadocia. We had a deluxe "cave" room with jacuzzi tub. Unless you wanted to fill up the tub to take a bath, you had to use the hand-held shower head which sprayed the whole room if you put it down to soap up. The faucet it attached to was broken.

The toilet tank leaked a small trickle of water continuously along the stone floor. There were bare wires in the center of the ceiling where the light fixtrue should have been, making the bathroom quite dark (there were other smaller lights in the room).

The buffet brreakfast that came with the room had no hot food at all. Even coffee had to be made by using hot water and mixing in instant.

The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful, however, and the little interior courtyard our room faced on was beautiful and peaceful.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our hotel. We always read our guest reviews carefully and take note of any ways in which we can improve our guests' experience. We are pleased to hear you found us in a convenient location and were able to experience great customer service from our friendly hotel staff! It is just a pity that your travel agent did not explain that we do not serve English breakfasts like other tourist hotels. Our guests enjoy a traditional Turkish breakfast spead including home-made pastries and specialities. I am sorry to hear about your disappointment with your bathroom, we are actually in the process of doing up all our bathrooms. If you are in the region again, let me know and I will personally give you a guided tour of all our rooms with the revamped bathrooms.
We look forward to your next visit with us,

We spent 2 nights at Cappadocia Palace Hotel. Apart from the excellent service and small but clean rooms, it has the perfect location- right at the center of Urgup, close to all restaurants, shops etc. Buffet breakfast. Picturesque yard.
Special thanks to Bekir, Yusuf and Gul, who made us feel like being among old friends.

Cappadocia Palace Hotel has a great location for those who want to walk about in Urgup - it is centrally located and very close to the Saturday market, the town centre and all the shops, restaurants and bars in Urgup. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area has been created like a crypt to give that 'cave' feeling as all the hotels in this area are famous for.

However if you book a Standard Room then the photos of this hotel belie what a disappointment you are in for. There are only a few cave rooms which are also the Deluxe Rooms. We had booked a Standard Room going by the pictures on Trip Advisor. Due to a mistake made by the hotel we were upgraded to a Deluxe Room for the first night and then transferred to a Standard Room the second night. The difference is vast, the Standard Rooms are basic with minimal furniture and the bathrooms are tiny closets. So if you want a luxurious experience I suggest you pay double the rate for the Deluxe Rooms.

Room Tip: Choose any of the Deluxe Rooms

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review of your stay at Cappadocia Palace. I am glad you especially appreciated our traditional Greek 19th century building which even today many people visit because of its architectural interest.
We very very happy to upgrade you to our luxurious Deluxe suite and are pleased you enjoyed this special experience. We cater for all budget ranges and our standard rooms are an excellent solution for those looking for good quality accomodation at an economic price.
Looking forward to welcoming you on your next trip,
