Quite simply, the Assiana cannot be topped, so look no further!
From the moment I arrived, I was treated royally by Suna, Mevlut and Fatih - they are the reason I will come back to Urgup! It's impossible to find harder-working people committed to your satisfaction.
OK, as for the accommodation itself: he cave room (#7) that I had. Quite possibly the most romantic hotel I've ever seen. The room was cozy, clean and delightfully comfortable...and the views are top-notch.
Bravo, Assiana!

Room Tip: Cave rooms are unforgettable! Do know that there is no wi-fi in the cave rooms, though, the signal won't reach...but I was not bothered by this in the end!

Extremely friendly and helpful hosts without being intrusive. Do dine in if you can to experience the home cooking. Really glad we chose it, and even though our room wasn't technically built into the hillside like most of them it didn't matter. Very relaxing time and a good base for some great organised tours - ballooning over the spectacular scenery as the sun comes up being the undoubted highlight. It will encourage us to seek out a small family run hotel again.

I was so smitten with the hosts, the setting , the sights..I just came back from my second time. This year to clebrate their daughter' s engagement the hosts included all us guests in their party of village and family. We got our own ride and table and everyone danced with the locales..It added to already wonderful experience of Assina House. If Im able i will go again.. next time to Avanos pottery town as well.Hosts and nature make this spot one of the worlds best.

Room Tip: just get a fan if its hot weather.. these really are caves if suitcase is heavy stay downstairs otherwise..its ALL good!

Absolutely the highlight of our Turkey trip. The rooms, service and staff were absolutely wonderful. We loved eating on the rooftop terrace and thought the advice of the owner was excellent. She always pointed us in the right direction based on what we were craving for dinner or what we felt like doing for the day. We look forward to our next trip to Cappadocia and wouldn't stay anywhere else!
