We loved our stay in Assiana there were many good choices to stay in Capadocia but we think we found the most amazing place. Everything were exceptional in this little hotel Mevrut and Suna are very friendly people they do anything to make sure your stay is unforgettable. Thanks again for a wonderfull stay.

We spent a delightful three nights at the Assiana House. Host Mevlut and his wife could not have been nicer. Breakfasts on the outdoor patio were lovely - particularly the homemade jams and honeys. I strongly urge the day tours run by Argeus Tours - ask for Mehmet. He was unbelievably helpful not only in Cappadocia but throughout Turkey in arranging guides, rental cars, etc. On one of the day tours, which are advertised as group tours, we were the only customers, so we got a personal tour (this was in May, shoulder season). A highlight was lunch at a farmhouse inn, where we sat on cushions and were served course after delicious course of home-cooked food. Terrific! If you're in the market for ceramics or carpets, Cappadocia is the place to go; we came back with both.

My partner and I stayed here for only 2 nights during a two week trip around Turkey and it was certainly one of the highlights of our trip! Mevlut and his wife were such marvelous hosts and kind enough to help us with arrangements for seeing the Cappadocia region (even making special arrangements for us to see everything we wanted to within one day). The breakfast was simple but perfect and our room was large, clean and full of character!
Location is great - a short, scenic walk down hill into the quaint downtown area with lots of great shops and restaurants.
Many places we visited in Turkey we would not return to, but we would definitely return to the Cappadocia region and the Assiana hotel!

We has two nights in the hotel and it was absolutely perfect. We were made to feel so welcome and the room (number 1) is superb - a real cave room with a lovely bathroom and a lounge area in the corner. There's also an outside area to sit and relax. Breakfast was great too and nothing seemed too much trouble - I'd definitely go back.

We stayed for a long weekend and wished we were staying longer. The rooms were clean and cozy, it was like living in a luxurious cave. The buffet breakfasts were just perfect, as were the hosts Melvut and Sena, they were truly hospitable, it was like staying with family. Urgup and Goreme are fascinating, and staying at the Assiana topped a wonderful trip to Cappadocia.

Our trip to Cappadocia followed a few wonderful but hectic days in Istanbul.
We arrived late morning on a sunny day and on entering the main door discovered what can only be described as a totally unexpected 'hidden gem'.
Mevrut and Suna have put so much care and effort into creating a charming and tranquil atmosphere where you feel at home within minutes .
Suna greeted us warmly and showed us to Room 4 on the second floor . Large bed ,lovely linen and furnishings ,2 big plush armchairs in front of an open fireplace-ideal when the weather is cold .At the back an amazing contemporary bathroom the full width of the bedroom with a jacuzzi bath.Window has fitted mosquito nets so safe to leave open if weather hot. Outside two comfy chairs and table with great views .
Mevrut kindly offered to take us into town but by that time we had met 2 intrepid Australian women Jan and Margaret on a five week touring holiday ,who proved great company. The downhill walk into town took a leisurely 10-15 mins -slightly longer on the way back but not as challenging as cautioned in the Lonely Planet guide .Good for working off the baclava .
Highlights of the hotel include the delicious breakfasts freshly prepared by Suna each morning ,excellent and good value home cooked evening meal ,good wine and the very real feeling that nothing was too much trouble. We saw a very different ,gentle side to turkish people which continued as we travelled further east to Nemrut ,Sanli Urfa and Harran.Early morning walks up to the ridge behind the hotel provided 360 views across old and new Urgup and beyond.
Highlights of the town include range of good restaurants ,unisex hammam( very clean ,safe and respectable -great after touring all day- 30 TL for sauna, scrub and massage) ,good variety of shops (advised in Istanbul that prices in Cappadocia are cheaper and they are) ,tiny local barber shop where my husband ,had his hair cut plus the full works of head massage with the use of cotton buds aflame with methylated spirits to eradicate hard to reach ear whiskers -much to the amusement of Jan ,Marge and I who were supplied with apple tea by other customers while they waited.
On the way back from our Mount Nemrut tour we stayed one more night in room two -one of the downstairs cave rooms .Also a lovely but when we come again ,ideally in the spring, we'll opt for room 4
