“A must see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014

I agree with all the other reviews. We were blown away by this awesome natural spectacle. We didn't realise that you got a 2 for 1 deal with the terraces leading up to the ruins of Hieropolis. The added extra was the spectacular display of rose gardens on either sides of the walkways which are meticulously kept by the gardeners. Added to that is that you can freely walk around the excavations without the crowds of Ephesus as it is so spaced apart.
You should be aware that you have to take off your shoes so bring your own bag to carry them in.

“Warm Water and Warmer Guide!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2014

Definitely a must for anyone's trip to Turkey! Nizam, our tour guide, had us in stitches the whole time, so the tour was not just informative, but very fun! We saw the Roman amphitheater on the hilltop above the travertines. Although it started to rain, we were still able to enjoy the naturally heated pools. It was fairly crowded the day we visited, so if you go during high tourist season, be prepared for massive crowds. You are allowed to take a dip in Cleopatra's Pool, but for an admission fee. Walking downhill will take your breath away when the travertine pools come into view. Pictures don't do justice to what you see all around. The travertines can be a little slippery at first, but oh so wonderful when your toes hit that warm water. You can forgo the pedicure- the ridges in the travertines will leave your feet feeling like they had their own Turkish Bath!

Should be on every bodies list to marvel at natures power.
Careful if you walk to the top as it is very slippery but worth the effort.

“A Must Try Experience - It's Different to Hot Spring”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2014

Two things which makes this place different than hot spring. First the water is fizzy, due to the mineral substance. It's like swimming in a warm sparkling water, and don't worry it is good for health. Second, there are ancient Roman ruins under the water, as the water is really clear, the scene is amazing in the pool. It's worth the 32TL to go, a relaxing and unique experience. It's better to go in the afternoon when it's less people, and stay until 5:30 when it closes.

“Pamukalle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2014

Thermal hot springs here are great. Do not miss this if you are visiting Turkey. The area is beautiful, the water is fresh and warm, the area looks like a glacier from afar, and its great for anyone.
Each time I go here, I take dip in the water. Even in cold weather, the water is still warm.

You can also leave the area and walk around and enjoy the scenery. This is a historic site and you will see some ruins along the path.
