This hotel was rubbish . The rooms were sub standard with old an warn out furniture. The air conditioning was virtually none existent . Outdoor buffet was a joke. The food was of low standard. They was not much food left for breakfast . The pool was dirty. The thermal pool was muddy. I would recommend to avoid at all costs.!!!

Not even rated as 3 stars.. Rooms are small and bathroom is rusty. Restaurant has cats walking around.
A small bottle od water cost 5 TL.. Pirates. Only good thing is the thermal pool. Nice for relaxing.

We arrived in the late afternoon and were delighted with our comfortable room at Lycus River Hotel.
It caters for bus-loads of tourists, so expect plenty of people. The evening meal was served out-doors near the pool area: fantastic environment and wonderful food!
Staff were attentive and friendly.
Didn't visit the spa but had a fairly early night as we were to have a full day sightseeing and travelling west the next day.
Our room was quiet, had an excellent bathroom and was just what we needed for the one-night stop-over before visiting Hierapolis, Pammukale and Aphrodisias. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Our room was away from the entrance and pool area - accordingly it was very quiet, with french doors...

Hotel is situated in Karahyat and not in Pamukkale. It's about 15 mins away from the town by minibus. We had a good experience with the hotel. We took a spa package which was great -Turkish bath and scrub, massage and face pack for 50€. We also used the pools which we enjoyed thoroughly. The rooms were really average specially the mattresses were hard and the decor was dated. The food was good. One night is enough to visit pamukkale or you'll get bored.

This hotel has some very POSITIVE points: First of all, it was very quiet! I slept well here. The shower has good water pressure. The thermal spas were great. Don't be turned off by the brownish color as that comes from the minerals. There is a little 'hill' in the middle, and you can sit around it with your feet in the water if you don't want to get too wet. There is also a shallow pool inside the building for children. The hotel provides nice robes to wear to the springs as well. The regular pool is very big and nice. We actually went to the thermal springs first and had no problem adjusting to the water in the regular pool after that. On the DOWN side: the AC was just average, and our beds were not as comfortable as what we had at other hotels in Turkey. However, many people in our tour group thought the beds were more comfortable here. They have a Dr. Fish foot spa, so read up on this beforehand-- I don't recommend it. Dinner was served outside by the pool which was nice, and there are some Turkish women making traditional bread outside. Most of the food was just okay though.

Nice pool. The thermal pool is okay. Just note, there is a safe in the room but it doesn't work. There is also a mini fridge where there are drinks as a "mini bar." There is no official lock on the door. The door is just the handle and a chain that will do little for the effectiveness of security. Worst of all, the walls are very thin. As I write this, we can hear the conversation of the person in the room next to us. Also, as people walk by your door, they will sound like they are inside your room.
The rooms are very sparse and simple. One television with a 20" screen. The glass door leading into the bathroom feels as if it would shatter so we have been very careful opening and closing the door. There is a mini balcony, which seems very unstable to hold three people.
Staff seems very aloof and seems as if they want the guests in and out as soon as possible.
