The lake is attractive, but the surrounding terrain is somewhat barren, and the fluctuating water level created a bathtub ring as at reservoirs. However, the waterfall at the outflow (north end) and the restaurants farther below make up for that. You can walk a little loop trail beside and below the waterfall, and even with low water in August it was still very nice (and would be spectacular in spring/early summer). The fish restaurant we ate at was down a fairly steep, winding road from the main road, but was nestled attractively at the water's edge of a small, pretty lake. Even during Ramazan, when no-one esle was around, the fish from holding tanks right at the restaurant was delicious and we enjoyed the quiet setting with breezes off the lake (we actually visited in August 2011 but that choice was not allowed below).
