It is a historic building tastefully transformed in a very comfortable hotel. The location is excellent, in the center of Cesme village on the waterfront below the castle. It is less than half a mile from the bus station, from the little beach and a few blocks away from the marina and the shops and restaurants. The rooms are around the courtyard for the animal which has been transformed in a small swimming pool and lounge and dining areas. Because the footprints of the old building, the rooms are small but nicely appointed and have excellent air conditioning. The original thick walls provide great soundproofing but do not permit wireless service, which is available in the courtyard and it is good and free. There is a nice terrace on the third floor with great view of the castle, the harbor, the marina and the island of Chios.
For the location and quality of the room it is of great value, especially with free breakfast and parking.

Room Tip: The second floor rooms are quitter and most of them have a window whereas some on the first floor ha...

Ops!: There is no WIFI in this hotel except in front of reception desk.
I will start with pros:
This hotel can be good for one-two nights business stays in the area if you plan to use it for only sleeping. (not that because it is quiet, it is not) They have interesting decoration and nice to atmosphere with a small pool and trees in the middle of the building.
and cons:
They are extremely rude, unbelievable! Ask for something like "can I have one more pillow" or direction to somewhere and they are like ":\ I DONNO! THERE ARE NO (fill with what you ever wish)!!! IT IS BROKEN, okay, hah!!!" we couldn't even get scissors to cut a bandage when my friend was bleeding in front of their eyes. Most of the stuff doesn't speak english, accept one stone faced, rude girl.
I couldn't sleep most of the nights as well because the acoustic, stone walls + wooden big doors becomes so noisy.
The pool is for decoration, lame and unnecessary. Go find a hotel with a beautiful pool. There are many options. There are tiniest windows in the room, just consider them not there.
I forgot the most important part; breakfast buffet is too limited. dried out, old cheese pieces, awful metal oxidation tasted tea and no coffee (or just: who drinks worst brand instant coffee, huh?)

First impression wasn't good. Because of the reviews. But I stayed 2 nights and we had a great time. For this price Rooms, location is great. Hotel is in the downtown and shops are close. also roof bar is great a place to chill out. This is not a 5 star hotel so breakfast was ok as well next. Well renovation had been made.

We stayed here for 5 nights for a short beach holiday and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The hotel is a pretty picture and the room was everything it promised on the outside. We had a twin bedroom. The beds were nice and the shower was fine as well. Every room has an bench outside, looking over the breakfast/swimmingpool area. Beds were good, it was cleaned regularly. Wifi was good and fast enough, only not in the rooms because of the medieval walls...

The staff was friendly, rooms and hotel clean and the breakfast was good. The only I can be critical about is that I did not feel like swimming. This because of the lack of sunbeds and the tables for breakfast and dinner surrounding the pool. The location is great, next to the city center, traveltime to several beaches was about 20-25 minutes including walking to the dolmus busses.

Very good hotel!

This hotel is in the centre of a small Turkish town which is close to several big resort hotels. It is a refurbished caravanserai or a motel for camel caravans. We stayed in early spring so the pool was not used as it was still too cold. Staff were very helpful and English was no problem. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was standard Turkish fare. It is about a 3 star hotel standard. Each room has a seating area outside in what would be called cloisters. The walls are about 2 feet thick so Wi/Fi was not available in the rooms but was easily accessible outside. We were not looking for beaches but they are easily accessible by local bus.
This was an exceptional experience as caravanserais don't grow on trees. If you are looking for something different then I waould highly recommend this hotel.

Right in the middle of Cesme, one street away from the port, this hotel may be a little expensive but is really beautifull, It was, in it’s prime, a place where travellers stopped to rest their animals and themselves. There were stables and stores. In this hotel, pictures are on the walls taking us back to those days. The rooms are around the central place where the pool is but on the second story. Around the pool are tables and lounging chairs. This is a very comfortable hotel. It is right beside the castle that protected the port.

Room Tip: There are rooms with a view only on the pool area. Try and get a room with a view on the port.

This review might be slightly skewed because we were there off-season and got a great deal. But the history of this place and the location--right near the harbor and next to the castle--was wonderful. There is a pool, but no one went in it (it's just very public, right in the middle as you walk in), and there aren't a ton of amenities. But that should be expected, as it's a renovated caravansary--a 250-year-old inn. The decor is a sort of minimal modern that fits the old building very well. The staff were friendly and helpful when asked, but this is not a 5-star hotel service, or spectacular breakfast buffet or amenities, but then it also wasn't priced that way. It's priced for the area as a 3-star. And this was a wonderful place to lay our heads. We rented a scooter and took it all over the island--using it to visit the white sand beaches in the area, and walked down the harbor to hop a ferry to Chios. (The hotel is not walking distance to any decent beaches, but is right in a great little town. If beaches are your thing, you will take a bus, scooter, or car.) But with those caveats, I would highly recommend this place. I'd stay there again.
