If you are looking for a silent and relaxing holiday, it is definetely the place to go.The view of the sea and Chios is amazing, especially at sunset time. You will enjoy watching the birds above the sea, yatchs sailing. It was like heaven to spend my holiday, I really enjoyed it. Thank you to the lovely family running this place.

Room Tip: If you want to enjoy the view from your own room, you should choose Suite or Deluxe rooms.

We stayed at this fantastic hotel for 3 nights on a recent tour of Turkey and some of the Greek islands. It is in a beautiful location on the edge of the lighthouse headland just outside of Cesme. Fener, we were told means lighthouse in Turkish and that is where it gets its name. It is very modern and only recently completed and has the most gorgeous, uninterrupted panoramic views along the coastline and across to the Greek island of Chios which you can see clearly across the sea. We spent hours just watching the sailing boats, ferries and cruiseships sail by.
Our room with large bacony was huge, spotless clean and had views to die for. It is such a peaceful location while still just being minutes from the town and beaches. Breakfast on the terrace was an occasion in itself and set out like a feast! They serve the most amazing selection of locally sourced and homemade produce and it kept us full all day. The owner's homemade jams were delicious and so good that I bought several jars to take back as presents. We also had dinner there on our last night and wished we had tried it before . Everything is fresh, homemade and very reasonably priced. I recommend the stuffed peppers, köfte and some lovely meze starters.
The family that own the hotel were very helpful and friendly and looked after us so well. The lady is originally from Finland and her husband from Turkey. Their grownup children also help out. There were several nationalities staying at the hotel and Merja the owner seemed to speak everyone's language fluently. It seems she was a linguist in her younger days and her son told me she speaks at least 8 different languages!
From the minute we arrived at this lovely place we felt at home , spoilt and relaxed. The atmosphere is so calm and everyone is very friendly. We met such interesting people from all over the world during our time there. Fellow travellers and others who just wanted to visit Cesme which seems to be the Turks favourite place to go for a break. It's not a surprise that they keep this beautiful place to themseves and haven't allowed it to be ruined by the mass foreign tourist business. We enjoyed a bull's eye view of the final day of an international sailing race. Just minutes away is the newly opened Cesme Marina where we enjoyed live music and lovely cocktails in the evenings. Beautıful shops and boutiques here but pricey. In the daytime we loved Altınkum-Golden Sands beach and the water was the clearest I've seen anywhere -miles of white sand.
All too soon our stay was over and had we not already booked and paid for ferry tickets on the ferry that goes from Cesme to the Greek island of Chios, then we would have liked to stay longer. This time I booked through Booking .Com but next time I would probably just contact them through Facebook or call the owner,Merja direct. Can't wait to visit here again and next time I wont waste time touring around any other places in Turkey, we will be coming straight to the Fener boutıque hotel to stay with Merja and her lovely family!

Room Tip: Book early and get a full sea view across to the Island of Chios but because of the hotel's posi...
