“Excellent hotel”

We stayed 3 night with our infant and the room was great. The staff amazingly helpful and friendly. Having a car was no issue and they always parked it for us. The room was of high quality and bed and bathroom great. Location was good fun us and we walked down to the water each night for dinner. Would definitely stay again and recommended to others. Breakfast also was great compared to other hotels we had stayed during our trip

Stayed one night on 5th floor, facing the street and it was a bit noisy due to the street traffic and construction.

The valet service for your car was a nice touch, no charge. The hotel services were great and the space quite well decorated.

The bed was comfortable, the room a bit small, but functional and quite modern, in terms of improvements, the air con system was not properly designed with the intake duct and the vent being located less than one feet apart basically minimizing the air circulation in the room.

The bathroom was small and there was no counter space as the entire counter is a sink, very cool but not very practical for your toothbrush,,,

The shower requires additional lighting.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the Main Street if you can.

We stayed at the Met Boutique Hotel for two nights in order to see Ephesus and the surrounding area. While we may have been better off only staying one night and moving on to Selcuk we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is modern and efficient and everything works well, including the wifi although the room was slightly on the small side. If you're looking for something more traditional this is not it. The hotel struck us as more business friendly than tourist friendly - there wasn't the overt helpfulness and friendliness we had experienced in Istanbul and Cappadocia. The staff were friendly but business like and didn't offer unsolicited help. That was ok as we managed to work things out for ourselves. It is well located for the station and about a 15 min walk to the pier area. The large bazaar selling goods mainly for locals was situated close by. The bed was excellent - the best so far. Breakfasts were very good and beautifully presented. We enjoyed our stay.

I've been in hotel business for years. The staff was the most hospitable, helpfull, smiling staff I have ever seen so far. The hotel is clean. Breakfast is good. The area is 10 minutes walk to everywhere. I am definitely sure that Met Hotel is my second home in İzmir.

After a long day of traveling by plane, train, and automobile, we were thrilled when we walked into the Met Boutique Hotel. The hotel has a modern and swanky vibe, with finishes that suggest that it is much more expensive than it truly was. The bed was the best we found in Greece and Turkey and the shower was to die for! This is a great option if you are looking for a luxury hotel experience on a budget.

The only downside of our stay at Met Boutique Hotel was the location… We made the stop in Izmir with the sole purpose of doing an Ephesus tour. In retrospect, we would’ve been better off staying in nearby Selcuk, versus driving 30 minutes north of the airport to Izmir, and then an hour (past the airport) down to Selcuk the next day. Also, Met Boutique Hotel is in more of a commercial section of Izmir; it was not super tourist-friendly or particularly pretty to look at. However, our experience inside the hotel made up for this, and we were overall pleased with our stay.

We spent three nights at the Met as a base to visit Izmir, Ephesus and Cesme. A very efficient and friendly service. Our room was neat and tidy, although we were at the rear of the hotel (2nd floor) and there was quite a noisy extractor fan/air conditioning unit attached to another building that meant we couldn't keep the balcony window open at night time. Breakfast choices were impressive, with plenty of fresh fruit available. The hotel does perhaps have more of a "business" feel than as a romantic destination. Overall, a high level of service, which was both professional and friendly.

This hotel was recommended to us for a brief overnight stay in Izmir.

The hotel looked new, was very clean, with friendly helpful staff.

The twin room and en suite shower were lovely, and we had a complimentary plate of fresh fruit in the fridge.

The inclusive breakfast was excellent!

(NOTE : Perfect for non-smokers, not so for those addicted to the 'weed' ,but we had patio windows and railings .......so were ok.......I would not wish to have to stand in the street to smoke!)

1 other valid point = the lighting in the bedroom is dim, no main light, or at least we didn't find one, so take your specs!

Room Tip: Ask for one away from the road
