since Ankara where they started to be pronounced all arround Turkey, they improved their service standards however franchise brought also a mass production and taste is not the same.
We had a waiter - Can - who were extremely patient and kind, was the biggest plus of dinner. His recommendations for main courses were ok.
I can't understand why there is Mumbar - a kind of stuffed lamb intestin - in Izmir. the weather is too warm to have this kind of Turkish food especially for foreigners.
One of the best thing is restaurant's garden and lighting. I couldnt understand why it is forbidden to smoke when it is open air.
alcohol is served but only beer and wine which are not really this kind of meat's drink.
Last thing is the bodyguards or valets who are waiting for a tip when you leave but they are not able to avoid some sellers from outside such as cigar sellers or candy.

Recommended for the garden, diversity of speciality and prices.

bon appetit!!!

We visited this restaurant a few days ago after reading all these recommendations in Tripadvisor. The place was very crowded but we found a table for two although we hadn't made a reservation. Anyone that will visit this restaurant has to be aware that there are not prices in the menu (!) and that they serve a green salad, some small dishes, meatballs and Turkish bread without ordering them and as we found out at the end without charging them... One problem was the difficulty to communicate with the waiters because they didn't speak English at all.
The menu was full of dishes containing lamp meat and it's a little bit hard to find something else if you don't like it. I had chicken fillets for 25 liras which was very well cooked and tasty and my friend had mixed Turkish pide for 32 liras winch was also good. Two main courses were enough for two person additional to the complimentary dishes they serve. At the end they offer delicious Turkish halva and ice cream and baklava with no extra charge.
The prices of the dishes were not very expensive but they should add prices to their menu!

You need to try this restaurant if you want say "yes, I ate Turkish kitchen".
Everything is typical in that place. The environment, the service and the food. As soon as you seat you start trying very nice starters, without you need to order them.
I ordered a typical dish based on chicken, vegetables like pepper and tomatoes ... really tasty.
Also the dessert was typical and good, based on ice cream and honey.
All this was also cheap.
Very nice experience.

To be honest, we were a bit disappointed with the food in Turkey before eating here. We had good food every now and then in various places but nothing was amazing. Well, we are lucky that we decided to eat here. It was far from our hotel but based on the good reviews here we decided to take a taxi to the restaurant, We got there a bit late and they were out of most vegetarian dishes by then (wife is a vegetarian). However, they had good vegetarian soup and mezes so we decided to stay. Everything we ordered was delicious and had a unique taste and to top things, the food is very reasonably priced.

Other than the food, the decor is also very interesting. The server struggled to understand English but he got another server who could understand a little bit of English and was able to take our order!
